My husband and I have been to the Sundy House twice for Sunday brunch; once just the two of us at Easter last year and then again with another couple last fall. We requested an outdoor table both times. The food is wonderful (Easter had a few more specialty items including oysters but the price was a bit higher accordingly). The food selection is wonderful and we literally spent four hours dining and enjoying the gardens. Unlimited champagne, mimosas and bloody mary's are included in the all inclusive price and both times the servers were excellent in ensuring our glasses were refilled frequently without us having to ask. Both times we took a break from eating and took a little tour of the beautiful gardens (with champagne in hand!). I've been told that Mr. Sundy was first mayor of Delray and this was his house.

Sundy House is such a special place and the many friends who we have told about it have loved it both for Sunday brunch and/or for dinner. One couple we know went there for Christmas dinner and really enjoyed the service and quality of food. At Easter, we saw a large number of family groups - grandparents, parents and children. It is as nice for families as it is for couples. The fact is, it is located right "downtown Delray" and if you were to drive by it, you would never know that behind what appears to be a quaint little house, there are lush tropical gardens, that make you feel like you're in a rain forest. There are ponds and foot bridges, outdoor gazebos for groups and cozy tables for two. If you don't want to sit outside, there is a room that has a removable glass wall that looks over the gardens so that you are sitting inside the restaurant but without a wall. I plan to return to Sundy House for Sunday Brunch each time I'm in Delray Beach and I would highly recommend it to everyone who is reading this review!

Room Tip: Ask for a table in the gardens versus indoors (unless it is summer)

What can I say about this place? It is absolutely magnificent. We got married there early June 2012. We had the 11 cottages booked for the weekend for family and guests. First, the rooms are adorable. Each has a different theme so to speak. Lots of colors. Rooms vary from 2 story 2 bedroom townhouse style, to a full cottage with large livingroom, kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Rooms are gorgeous. All of our guests loved every minute of staying there. Location is perfect. 2 blocks off Atlantic Ave. where the party is.

The grounds are amazing. Its like a gorgeous jungle walking through all the pathways that lead around the property. The swimming pool is quite neat as it is "naturally" built, with rock walls and rocks on the ground. It is a man made pool, but looks like a cenote and is every bit as cool. The "pedi-pool" is wicked awesome. Dip your barefeet into the water and little zombie fish eat off all the dead skin on your feet...tickle tickle!!

The wedding itself was absolutely perfect. The whole staff from Tom, the coordinator on down to the catering captains were attentive to every single detail there was. I could write a whole review about the wedding itself, but I wont waste the ink....just know if you want to go here for anything...a night's stay, brunch, just walking the grounds, dinner, just drinks, whatever...you won't be dissappointed...it is a true gem of Delray Beach and Palm Beach County

Room Tip: Big 2 person jacuzzi tub in cottage 4 is amazing! Great big living room, kitchen and bedroom. Loved it!

What an amazing Inn! The staff is wonderful without exception, we had the best experience! There was no wedding while we were here and it was a quiet tropical oasis. The garden is amazing, the natural pool is beautiful. We wanted for nothing. Johanna and all other staff provide a top-notch retreat.

Our daughter was married at the Sundy House in early May and we couldn't have picked a better location. The wedding party stayed at the hotel the night before and the night of the wedding. The hotel staff was great. Jose opened the back gates and the valet brought the car to us so Grandma didn't have to walk back to the front with her walker. The day of the wedding they opened the back gates again so we could have easy access for her. The rooms and suites were clean and the air conditioning was excellent (very important in south Florida).

Tom Rasmussen is the wedding coordinator and was great. He walked us through the rehearsal the day before and was available all weekend to answer any questions. The day of the wedding he helped deliver the lunch platters we ordered and returned to send us out as we had rehearsed. The wedding went off without a hitch. Tom was with us until dinner which was fabulous.

The Sundy House is beautiful, the staff is extremely helpful, and the food is outstanding. We are still getting calls from guests complimenting us on the wedding and the Sundy House

We stayed at the Sundy House for a family wedding. The grounds are lovely and intimate, the pool is delightful, the food delicious. Since almost all the rooms were taken up by our wedding party, the noise and bustle didn't bother us. I can see how it would be annoying to stay at this hotel if there was a wedding going on and you were not part of it - definitely check before booking.

One annoying thing about the hotel - 4 PM checkin. In the end, we were able to get in much earlier than that but that seemed excessively late, especially when our rehearsal was supposed to start at that time and we needed to freshen up. I agree with other reviewers that the hotel doesn't go out of its way to make you feel welcome. But, if you have to travel for a wedding, this is a fantastic spot to end up at. The beach is walkable but tehy also provide a shuttle.
