“Went 2 nights in a row, and went back for forgotten to-go box!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013

Ate here both nights of our short visit to Delray Beach. I wanted to go back the second night and it was unanimous. Husband, daughter, and 9 y/o granddaughter agreed. The small oblong appetizer pizza with truffle paste and mozzarella is one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. We have traveled to Europe, including Italy, as well as many great food cities in the US. The salad was so fresh and perfectly dressed, the white pizza made with a pistachio pesto, sausage, and smoked mozzarella was amazing. The dessert was great. The service the first night with Francesco was charming, and the second night with someone else was nice as well. The host who seats guests is a enthusiastic in personality and dress! Just go. Worth a detour. OH! also try one of the homemade pastas!

“Not your typical american pizza (that's a good thing)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2013 via mobile

The first thing you see whdn you walk in the door is the beautiful brick fired oven. We started off with the burata appetizer. It was amazing. It was on a bed of baby arugula, tomatoes, reduced balsamic vinegar and prosciutto. ......yum. We then got a simple margharita pizza. Every ingredient sang. So simple yet so good. Can't wait to go back and try more of their awesome food!

“Fantastic, authentic Italian pizza”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2013

Great find in a sea of red sauce joints and expensive wanna-be places. Lovely decor and authentic Italian pies. Try the Keste, excellent and the Menabrea Italian beer. If you think pizza is supposed to be a big, greasy mess and you've never been to Italy, get yourself over to Scuola Vecchia for REAL deal.

“Great Pizza?-- Have You Been In the Orient For Last 20 Years”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

Went once-- never again even with coupons with price discount.

Small pizzas-- high prices.

Nothing special--Just Average-- cheese had no flavor and crust no big deal.

Shocked to see it on someone's list of 10 best pizzas on U.S.
The must've just returned from the orient after 20 years.

Only 2 really good pizza places within 30 miles of Boca -- Original Italian Pizza ( OIP ) and Nicks.

“A side trip to Italy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

Clean, crisp decor with lovely ambient lighting.. a perfect respite from a hot day in the sun! Wide, unique pizza combinations... flavors and textures remind me of past trips to Italy.... enjoy a La Dolce Vita beer to complete your "getaway"!
