Whether it's a creative Chef's daily special or spaghetti and meatballs, Chef Tony has talent that doesn't quit. His sauces, pastas, fish specials are authentically put together with an Italian old country flair. He has great pride in the quality of his ingredients and loves to deliver his taste sensation so you can share the quality and high standard of excellence. We visited the restaurant several times before I finally asked to meet him to compliment him and I could tell his heart and passion is really in his work. He even makes all his own desserts! He's a gracious host and like a true Italian, knows how to live life by giving of himself fully and passionately in all he does.

The bar is a fun local scene - upscale yet casual. You can eat at the bar too and they have good wines by the glass. Don't miss Frank & Dino's. It's a treat.

Make a reservation or you'll have a wait, especially during the season.

Growing up in a Sicilian house, I never dreamed that I would find really first rate food at Frank and Dino's. I just expected an okay red sauce with the usual menu items of veal parmiagiana or spagetti and marinara sauce. I was with two friends, and we were all surprised at some of the menu items. Although the restaurant does have the standards, they had a few difference items that we wanted to try. We tried a pasta with cauliflower, golden raisins, pine nuts and mint with a garlic olive oil sauce which was absolutely delicious. A special that night was filled pasta bundles with pear and ricotta and a gorgonzola sauce. Another winner. As an appetizer, we had the eggplant rollatini which was light and very flavorful. We all agreed, (and we are all food snobs), that this was, very surprisingly, one of the best meals we had in Boca or Deerfield Beach. We left already planning to come back.

We had a reservation for 2 at 7:30; we arrived a little early, and were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming hostess.
She was very accommodating as to our seating preference. We chose to sit in the lounge area so we could hear the music. We sat at a table near the bar; which is nicely done. The decor is nice and very rat pack inspired.
Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive, but not overly. The singer has a wonderful voice; apparently he was filling in for the regular singer. He was also very nice and let us know that he would take requests if we so desired.
Now for the food; we shared the Frank and Dino salad. A the waiters suggestion we opted for a caprese salad instead; tomatoes and burrata cheese. It was literally sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese on a few leaves of arugula. There was nothing pretty about the plate; no basil or drizzle of olive oil. I ordered the boneless braised ribs over creamed potatoes, and my partner ordered the braised ribs with rigatoni mad broccoli rape. The presentation was horrendous; it looked like slop. It didn't tast like braised short ribs it tasted like homemade beef stew without any seasoning. My partners was no better the broccoli rape had been cooked beyond recognition.

It is really too bad; the place has a lot of potential to be a great dining experience. They probably would do better with a more refined chef, and a more updated menu. It is very old fashioned and it is obvious that this is not a classically trained chef.

Go there and sit at the bar and enjoy a great martini and music.

My wife and I are from out of town. One of our family knew of this restaurant so twenty of us wound up there for a family get together in a private room, early evening. The advantage of the large group is that we were served family style: a half dozen appetizers, a half dozen entrees and the same for desserts. "Take what you want, pass it around." Each of us got to taste and go back for seconds and thirds on whatever we wished. From calamari appetizer, through pasta and chicken to tiramisu and coffee, everything was excellent! Most of our family are New York City transplants, so we know great Italian food. There were nothing but positive comments from all on the food, every single dish.

The restaurant is obviously named for Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Their pictures adorn the walls, their music plays over the sound system. That is a wonderful thing. Yes, the place is a bit pricey, but if you want a cheap meal, go to Olive Garden. Service was also excellent.

The restaurant has a very nice bar with a friendly happy hour of 2 for 1's. Go a bit early and enjoy the bar.
