This is just a wonderful place. It is right at the ocean, yet it still has an amazing pool area.
Breakfast and evening cocktails included.
Parking is $$ but, that is the case everywhere here.
My room has 2 queen/2bath. Balcony is only a standing area. That is the only slight disappointment.

First the great:

1. cleanliness of rooms
2. each suite has two areas/beds and two baths=privacy!
3. The microwave, fridge, and table in large living room (sofa bed)
4. furniture was fine with us---hotel modern/dark
5. tiny but lovely beach area
6. beach promade/sidewalk with mile marker for walking right out front----the beach is beyond this-----hotel is not on the beach but by a not much used street
7. Tasty fruit at breakfast buffett
8. did not hear our neighbors (seems to have good wall sound conditioning)

not so great
1. Not sure they will honor a request for an e-standby Upgrade request. We were told the night before that was still possible and the next morning informed "we're full---all rooms have been assigned!" By the tone of voice, we suspected upgrade was never a possibility. We had a view of a solid wall ten feet from our balcony.
2. Breakfast Buffet is crowded, noisy, understaffed and unsupervised. (saw a child taking food off his plate and putting it back into containers, adults mishandling serving spoons, kids running into people causing spills etc.)
3. Avoid getting a room above the banquet--ask about events or you could have booming music in your room---lady in breakfast line reported this

Selected this property for its location on a 2 day layover on our way south to the Keys. The price/night made me cringe but nevertheless wanted a nice property off the beaten path with nice ocean views to relax. This hotel delivered that. Located right on the ocean with a nice beach side path/walkway for another mile or so northward - great for jogging, bike riding or walking.

Pretty well maintained property with a Spanish style decor, very spacious, clean suite with 2 bathrooms and two balconies overlooking the pool/courtyard and of course the ocean. Odd thing our room was missing a luggage rack but not a big deal. Like other posters mention, not sure why they don't deliver a daily paper at your door when most Hampton Inns do. Valet parking is fine but they don't discount the per night charge for Honors members.

The ever popular 'Manager's Reception' from 5:30 - 7:30 pm was indeed popular but much too noisy for me. It was swamped both nights and while the free beer, wine, and well drinks is great, the food offered was quite anemic - veggies and dip, pretzels and salsa and chips. Granted it's been 2 years but the last time I stayed in an Embassy Suites in CA they had all sorts of hot dishes (e.g. wings, mini hot dogs) and a much larger selection of cold munchies. So I was surprised by what was offered here. Menu food was good but watch out for the breakfast buffet - nice selection but both days people were quite rude in jockeying to get their food and in turn making quite a mess - you'd think it was their last meal.

Family of three stayed for one night. Hotel is a beautiful location and was clean and safe for mother traveling with children. We stayed in a suite so everyone could have their own bed. We were pleasantly surprised with two bathrooms in the suite, what a bonus! We were there visiting family and since price was higher than we wanted we used HIlton points. Would have liked to stay longer and enjoy more of this hotel.
One area of improvement would be the breakfast buffet. The food left much to be desired.
The cooked to order omelets were disappointing. After standing in line and seeing fresh eggs sitting there waiting to be used, the chef poured pre-scrambled eggs from a plastic bag. The ingredients for the omelets were all obviously previously frozen and had lacked color and taste. FYI, incase you are wondering I am not a foodie, and I am not normally picky at all.

Great location on the beach, room was very quiet and well appointed. Front desk staff were very helpful and courteous. Business center up to date. Resaurant experience was bad but new manager assured me that a new Food & Beverage Manager and an Executive chef were working to change that to great.

Room Tip: All in all I believe the rooms are quite quiet and spacious.
