We just stayed at this hotel June 23 2013 for two nights. We were in room 208. Great view . I paid 260 for two nights in peak season...not too bad. The hotel room had granite counters and tile floors, overall nice room needed little updating as far as beds. Sleeper sofa was terrible. Overall I would say good deal as far as price in peak season, had no prob with water pressure. Room door was hard to open and close, I would definitely stay here again my main complaint was don't eat here. The hotel itself is great but the people who run restaurant and grill are weird and terrible. As long as you don't eat here( don't know about luau, missed it) then you will have great time, music was good, pool is great, just make breakfast plans somewhere else, I hop down the street, people who ran or worked as waiters and waitress made out the whole time we were waiting for breakfast, just left and went elsewhere, if they would fix that it would be perfect,

Room Tip: We stayed in 208 but all rooms have great view

We had a great time at the hotel...loved the ocean view from our 4th floor balcony room. All the staff we encounters was very friendly especially Vickie M. at the front desk. The only problem we encounter was the water in the shower...it went from hot to cold and back again but with a hotel of that size and alot of people taking showers i guess it was expected. Me and my husband would definately stay there again. My rating shows terrible on the fitness center and room service only because I had to choose one...they were not terrible because there not a fitness room and dont believe there is room service.

We stayed in a privately owned condo Room 225 (Trish) It was very beautiful decorated with all the ammedities and utintles needed!! Trish was such a sweet lady to talk with and so atentive!! My family loved the resort!! So many things for the kids and adults to enjoy.. kiddy pool, big pool, indoor pool/hot tub, golf, game room, gift shop,2 restraunts, Tiki Bar and different events through the day.. including Live DJs & Kerokee!! So I dont understand why people could write bad reviews!! For the price of the rooms, its a steal for anyone!!!

We first went there in 2007. The first room we got on the first floor was awful and the second one we got on the 5th floor was better. I don't remember the exact room numbers back then but it smelled a lot better the first time we were there compared to now. The hotel seems to have gone down a little since then. I know it has changed hands but I don't know if that's for the good or bad. Room 106 was AWFUL when we went this time. My wife ended up sleeping in the lobby the first night because of the rooms smell and it kicked up her allergies. We demanded and got a better room, 421, for the remainder of our vacation. The beds frames still had problems. They may have been broken, not sure. The beds sunk very low with a little tilt when you got in them. We were told that they didn't have any more open rooms for what we needed for the length of our stay. The website advertised pull out couches but all we were able to find were futons. We even talked to some of the other guests and they only had futons as well. So although the futon was roomier than the beds be prepared to sleep on basically metal bars if using that as a sleeping quarters. The pool and pool deck were really nice size. They had live music some days and dj's others. That was nice. They had enough deck chairs, and tables with umbrellas. They had a hammock to lay in, a tiki hut, and an outside tiki bar and grill. They have a basic putt putt golf course to play on and shuffle board. It's pretty close to an awesome adventure golf place down the street though. Probably the best one on the strip. Although breakfast is not included they do have an in-house restaurant that serves breakfast or it is very close to I-hop as well. They also have a very competitively priced gift shop. That can make getting souvenirs a little easier. They have a few video game machines in the lobby to play. They have a pretty nice luau during a couple of evenings. You have to buy tickets separately for it though. One of the luau dancers really needs to be replaced. (sad but true) The place could totally be the best place in town for the money and peacefulness but they have got to be able to get the quality control of ALL THEIR ROOMS under control and consistent even if some are individual owners. We were told the bad rooms that we experienced were individually owned. A suggestion would be NOT TO ALLOW BOOKINGS FOR THOSE ROOMS until they bring their room up to an acceptable standard. Otherwise your facility won't get repeat business and will continue to receive consistent critical reviews. There must be some good rooms there because we've seen some good reviews, but we have definitely been given some really lousy ones during our stays. Honestly if it wasn't for the pool area being nice, we wouldn't have stuck it out this time around. Most of the staff tried to be helpful and sympathetic but seemed somewhat unable to do anything at times through out the week. When our kitchen sink sprung a leak this time their maintenance people were there within 5 minutes to begin the repairs. That was good to see. That place has some really great potential with the right oversight and management.

My wife lives and breaths Hawaii, and she says that they are currently not representing her "motherland" very well. Given the right opportunity, pay and control we'd seriously consider moving down there to the beach and over seeing the place; giving people a real warm aloha experience that they will want to quickly return to.

Unless we start seeing more consistent good reviews we probably won't be returning in the future despite the good pool area. That makes us sad.

I just first want to say that the lady at the front desk (Black Woman. I stayed in November of 2012 and I can't remember her name) was fantastic beyond any other experience. She was very courteous and nice. The room was a little outdated and smelled strange but it was great for the $79 we had to pay. We also had to book last minute because the hotel we stayed at before had their pool closed and we were not told. Spectacular room location overlooking the beach. Overall awesome experience. Thank you!

Room Tip: When the front desk asks to see your room, do it. Large pool was cold. Indoor pool is next to it in...

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Daytona. The room was dated and needed some TLC. The kitchenette had dishes, pans and seemed to have everything we needed. We cooked several meals to save money. The beds were comfortable and our room had a gorgeous view of the ocean. We spent most of our time on the beach and didn't really use the pool or tiki bar. Our room was clean and comfortable.

However, we had a lot of issues with the water here. There was barely enough pressure in the ktichen to do dishes. Taking a shower was very difficult since there were two temperatures, scalding or freezing. We had a toddler with us and found it very difficult to bathe him after being in the ocean without burning him. The hotel was stingy with towels and blankets.

We didn't have a bad stay at all, since we spent most of our time doing other things, but not sure I'd stay here again.

We just returned from our last minitue family vacation. We stayed in room 424, our bed was decent and the staff was very plesent, the tiki bar was a great plus and the food was very good. We booked an ocean front suite on the way to Daytona for $98 a night. The room was out dated and could use some modern decor. There was no dish soap for the kitchenette or blankets for the sleeper couch. For the price the room was not bad. For our family, we are use to something more "fancy" on vacation , but do recommend for someone who doesn't mind the out dated rooms.
