“Great location - something for everyone - family friendly”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2013

This is a nice, clean, new restaurant in a great harbor-side location. Daytona has a disproportionate number of lousy restaurants, so Caribbean Jacks is a great find and only a few minutes from the boardwalk area. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating. The deck area features some neat glider booths that your party of four can sway back and forth - that might not be a great idea if you are out drinking. :) Our server was fantastic - very friendly and attentive. The food quality was inconsistent - ranging from OK to great. Portion sizes were generous. Some comments on individual dishes:
1) Bananas Foster dessert: A! Fantastic, four of us split it.
2) Bass Ale Battered Fish: B. Fish was tasty, but batter was soggy. Onion rings were average.
3) Mussels and Sausage: C. Overwhelmingly salty.
4) Crab cakes: B+ Good flavor and lots of crab with little filler
The kids meals were fairly priced and good size. The kids chicken filets were a bit dry and not enjoyable without dipping sauce. The margaritas were tasty - I can tell that this is a great place to share some drinks with your friends. The prices were consistent with the waterfront location - expect to pay $15-$20 and up per adult without alcohol. We'd definitely go to Caribbean Jack's again. Work on the food consistency and it will easily merit an upgrade to five stars.

“Good food, great service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2013 via mobile

Went for an early dinner around 4:30 so they were not real busy. I had the Caribbean jerk fish tacos and they were very good. My wife had a chicken salad and said it was excellent. For dessert we shared the bananas foster and it was huge and delicious! The service was excellent! Will definetly eat here the next time we are in Daytona.

“Nice outdoor spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2013

Based in Trip Advisor reviews, we tried this out for dinner while on vacation the week of April 29th. We were seated out on the deck and there was a two man band playing oldies which was nice. I had the fish tacos - plenty of food (took some home for lunch the next day). They were OK - I've had much better ones back in the midwest. My margarita was nothing to get excited about. My husband had the conch chowder and the crab cake sandwich. Again, they were OK but nothing fabulous. The attraction of this place really is the outdoor seating and being able to walk around the marina. Also if just wanting to hang out for drinks - both the inside and outside bars were large with plenty of seating. I would also say that the service was very good - very friendly and efficient wait staff. Parking can be an issue as the lot right in front of the building is small but there is another lot across the street.

“Great setting, good food, but expensive.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

We tried this place based on the trip advisor reviews - the setting was fantastic, especially the slider booths which you could gently rock away in. The food was only ok however, I had the Caribbean jerk Mahi Mahi with rice and coleslaw and the Mango pineapple dressing. The meal was tasty enough (mainly due to the topping) but the coleslaw was a little dry and the rice a bit ordinary. My husband had the Caribbean jerk stir fry shrimps - very flavoursome, but the portion was a bit on the small side - mostly veg, only half a dozen shrimp. We shared a dessert which was very nice, but considering we only had that, a main each and two beers we thought $70 was pretty steep! Worth a visit just for the view, and maybe we ordered badly so give it a go!

“Heavenly Dessert”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

Went to Carribean Jack's on the Intracoastal at Daytona Beach for the first time for lunch. Parking was tough but I noted that valet parking is available at dinner time. The experience was great and enjoyed a wonderful carribean atmosphere. Enjoy the outdoor seating in the swinging tables!! The entree was excellent but best of all was the dessert. You must try the Banannas Foster, their own receipe and absolutely wonderful.
