We stopped here late one evening and secured a 2 bedroom suite. I'm sure this is a noisy place during race week since it's right next to the track, but for us it was wonderfully clean, comfortable and quiet. After seeing our choices on the oceanfront in Daytona, we went back to this hotel for 2 more nights. We're picky about where we stay, but would recommend this hotel to anyone. Only negative to us is that they allow dogs, and we heard some barking on the ground floor - luckily, not near our room up top!

Loved this hotel. I chose it for my family members who were attending a wedding in Daytona. At first I had concerns about its proxemity to the airport but there was absolutely no noise in the evening from aircraft. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful. Full breakfast was provided each morning. This will be the hotel I stay in on subsequent visits to Daytona.

I can't say enough about this place. It was my first stay at a Residence Inn and I am glad I tried it. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The kitchen was great! Housekeeping even did the dishes. We were in a 1 bedroom unit that had a separate living area. It had enough space for our family of 5.

The pool area is really nice with plenty of towels available. Next to the pool is a recreation court that the kids really enjoyed. The hot breakfast was a great touch too, We arrived at noon Tuesday and they had a room ready for us and let us check in. The staff was always available and went above and beyond. Tuesday night they had wine and cheese for the guests, Wednesday was beer and munchies, Thursday was a BBQ at the pool.

The only drawback was the location. It is about 5 miles from the beach. We were using award points and this was the closest Marriott property to the beach. But, honestly, the accomodations and staff made up for the location. I will definitely stay there again and will look for more Residence Inns for future travel.

The best part is the sincerely welcoming, helpful, and courteous staff- frontdesk, breakfast, handymen, roommaids. I left my cellphone charger behind in the room when we left, called the next day, they found it and mailed it to me so I had it in 2days. Pool large and clean, towels provided; could even do some laps. Rooms & kitchen are spacious and comfortable, quiet, with wonderful beds. Great fullsize refrig, but icemaker too noisy so had to turn it off at night (kitchen staff gladly filled my cooler with ice instead). We had insufficient room cooling in first few hours (windows faced southwest), which was repaired immediately upon request when we went out for dinner. Gave only 2 stars for cleanliness (room 517) because there was trail of teensy ants on the bathroom wall going to a rusty ceiling patch, and moldy dust in bathroom vent.

We had a group of 6 persons going to the Daytona 500 this February 2010. We booked our rooms 9 months in advance so we could stay right behind the track and got a really good rate. The day before we were leaving to travel to Florida from North Carolina, a lady from this hotel called us and told us they had overbooked their hotel and we had been moved to another location 6 miles away in Port Orange. This was very upsetting to us considering we had been looking forward to this vacation for almost a year. The lady assured us we would have 2 suites with 1 queen bed and a pull out slepper sofa in our new facility. We also would be allowed to park at the Residence Inn for the race and would receive 1 nights stay for free. We were also allowed to eat breakfast at the Residence Inn since they had hot bar. When we arrived on Friday at the Residence Inn (following instructions given) to recieve our parking passes, the lady that had called us was off until Monday (the day we were leaving). Upon arrival at the other hotel 6 miles away we checked in and unloaded our cars and went to our rooms. We had 1 king bed in each room. Understand we had 3 adults per room. When we asked for rollaway beds, they had none. Residence Inn however did bring us blow up mattress for our rooms. So a vacation that had been planned for 9 months resulted in one adult per room sleeping on a blow up mattress for three nights. We feel the Residence Inn moved us because we had such a reasonable rate and they could get much more per night closer to the beginning of the Daytona 500. Is that really FAIR to people who reserve rooms way in advance to make sure they have the rooms they prefer? What good are reservations?????

We stayed at this hotel directly across from the Daytona Speedway for 1 week. Hotel has a supposedly SMOKE-FREE POLICY which is not enforced by hotel. We complained about guests smoking on our floor (smell in our hallway was very bad) & got told if we can't actually catch them smoking we can't do anything about it. And this went on for 2 days. During our stay, the hotel had a group of guests 2 tour bus loads (mostly young football players & cheer leaders ages 12-14) plus & parents/chaperons with them arrive on our 3rd night there. Hotel allowed these guests to be running through hallways, slamming doors including the fire escape doors, bouncing balls in rooms & hallways, opening the glass fire extingusher locked doors, wrote on walls in stairways, threw soda cans & paper wrappers on fire escape stairs (if there would have been a real emergency in this hotel & guests needed to use these stairs would have been in danger with all this trash on them) and these activities went on all night long even still at 5:00 A.M. bouncing balls above your bedroom. We complained & hotel staff didn't care. Back entrance door to hotel would standing wide for who knows how long at different times. This group on our last day of the 7 days there was finally told they had to leave the hotel. We were there for an event at the Speedway during this period & in the morning from the room window you can watch people (not Hotel guests) park there vehicles across the street in parking area for the event & walk over into the hotel for what is supposedly the guests breakfast & hotel allows non-guests to use the hotel parking lot. Upon checking no vehicles are registered at the time. Front desk staff cannot make decisions on what to do for guest relations problems. They need to contact a hotel manager who is not there at the hotel. A problem needs to go from one manager to another, no one has the authorithy to do any corrections with your bill. After on second day back home we heard from a so-called manager, whom could not do anything about our complaints & they needed to pass it along to another person. Hotel managment will not give you actual credit compensation on your bill for any inconviences such as we endured during this stay. Only after disputing with the credit card company, did we receive a letter from managment giving us these 2 certificates, which is not what we asked for. With an experience like this why would we want to come back again to this place. This was our first time stay at a Residence Inn by Marriott and it will be our last.

Great location, Clean rooms. This was our 2nd stay and we loved the hotel and staff on our previous visit . This time we were unfortunate enough to be there with the cheerleaders and their "chaperones"? I use the word loosely ,because they were the most uncontrolled and unsupervised group of children I have ever seen. The adults with them were even worse, shouting and cursing at the staff. The employees did an AMAZING JOB keeping their emotions in check and staying on top of things in an absolutely awful situation!! They managed to keep all public areas clean and organized and the breakfast area was stocked and clean as well .FYI-- they have a really good breakfast buffet.! We would definitely stay there again .
