“A great meal dosen't have to be expensive”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2013

Drive up to a beautifull facility with valet parking. Enter a elegant loby which leads to the main dinning room or you can eat in a casual area (Inside or outside.)
The food was very good and priced reasonably. Drinks were a little high ,however , the happy hour that they have reduces price significantly.
My dinner was super and the staff was very knowledgable and friendly.

“Go for a special meal!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2013

we love the Stone wood Grill, the more casual and pub like sister of this restaurant group but this upscale restaurant (SW Grill) at the headquarters of the corporation and on the marina of the Intracoastal is elegant, beautiful and might tasty
We went for the launch of the Stone Crab season....very pricey but very good and only for 4 months
The trout with Mediterranean topping is outstanding and the creme brûlée, the wedge salad and sea bass are also excellent
Very romantic, great service and outstanding food and wine

“Good Food, Service and Ambiance”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2013

We visited on September 21, 2013 and had a very enjoyable meal. One person in our party had the Baked Oysters Rockefeller for a starter; which she thoroughly enjoyed. The menu differed slightly from that on line in that the prices were a little lower on line and the on-line menu did not include the accompaniments or toppings (I forget exactly what the menu calls them). I thought that the accompaniments were a neat twist in that they allowed the diner to somewhat customize his or her fish dish to their taste. The menu offers several types of fish cooked your way (i.e. baked, broiled, blackened or grilled) as well as other seafood specialties. They have a very limited selection of other foods. For 6 to 10 dollars more you can add an accompaniment or topping to your fish, which really completes the dish. I had a Mediterranean topping atop a generous grouper filet, which included goat cheese, sun dried tomato and a grilled vegetable medley. This is in addition to the side that is included. We also had the SW salad, which was well prepared. For dessert, one person had Crème Brule and I had Ice Cream – we both thoroughly enjoyed our desserts. The third person had the Key Lime Pie, which she did not enjoy as much. She said that it was too rich and did not have a strong lime flavor. The service was excellent and the ambiance was very upscale yet relaxing, with a great view of the Halifax River. The restaurant, located almost under a bridge, is somewhat hard to find – directions are suggested. Salads, entrées and dessert averaged around $50 per person without drinks and before gratuity. I gave this restaurant a very good – although it is close to excellent.

Have had several excellent meals here. Very fine dining in a beautiful restaurant on the Halifax River in Daytona Beach.

“Excellent food and ambience...Service could have been better”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013

Last Saturday evening, my husband, myself and 2 other couples dined at SW Grille for the first time. The ambience and food was excellent, as we had expected, but the service we received was definitely not what we're used to when dining in this type of restaurant. We waited long to receive our first round of drinks, and although we weren't in a hurry, we all felt our entrees were served too long after our salads. At the end of the evening the waiter forgot an espresso that had been ordered, and earlier he forgot a mixed drink that was ordered. Also quite unexpected was when we were given a basket with only 2 small sliced rolls for our group of 6. We all thoroughly enjoyed our salads and meals, and appreciate that happy hour 1/2 priced wines by the glass and bottle were available until 7:00, even on a Saturday evening. SW Grille is definitely one of the finest restaurants in the area, and my husband and I (not sure about the others) will try it again, hopeful for a server who seems happier and less overwhelmed when serving us.
