Overall good hotel with usual Hilton room which was clean with a very comfortable king bed. Daily resort fee of $10 was good value and included Wi-Fi and other benefits. Choice of bars and restaurants and really good valet parking service. Nice pool area with one problem, a lack of shade. Come on Hilton get your act together do you really think that two, yes two sun shade umbrellas is sufficient in the pool area of a 400 bedroom hotel on the Florida coast ??

One other small negative so common now is the poolside music. Shuldn't this be relaxing low volume background music. Do you really think your guests want an outside disco at eleven in the morning. My guess is the choice of music and the volume are based on the desires of the staff not the guests.

This is my second stay at this hotel, and my return was based on location and because it is one of the few branded hotels on Daytona Beach. I am not a big fan of large, resort type hotels, but this hotel is well managed, clean, updated and worth the visit. My oceanview room was in the main tower and was a standard type room. The bed and pillows were very comfy, nice flat screen TV with suffucient channels, full bath with a second sink outside of the bathroom, complete with fluffy towels. The room and bath were VERY clean and well kept. However, the shower head is set low and its a very outdated, generic head. The main pool area is smallish with an indoor/outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs...towels are provided. The hotel has bikes for rent, which is one of the activites that is included in the $10 resort fee. The hotel is located within walking distance of Daytona Lagoon, Ocean Walk Shops and Movies and Zenos. There are several restaurants, a bar, a sports bar and a spa that I did not use during my 1 night stay. The staff is nice, with kudos going out to the housekeeper for our room, and Ms. Alma in the gift shop...its people like her that make a large hotel a special place. Overall, I would stay here again and I would recommend it to others. Its a great place for families with kids of all ages as well as couples looking for a weekend getaway.

Room Tip: All rooms give you an ocean view. The North Tower rooms may be a bit larger. The pool view rooms a...

My wife and I were looking to get away for Memorial Day Weekend and I was able to get a very good rate of $119 per night plus tax and a $10 per night resort fee for a king ocean view room on the ninth floor. Typically, I would complain about the resort fees however this one included unlimited Wi-Fi and local or 1-800 calls, a free appetizer each night at any of the resort outlets, 15% discounts at the Spa and on apparel at their gift shop, and a free 1 hour boogie board or bike rental.

The hotel is located right on the beach with a nice boardwalk. Ocean Walk Village located at the north end of the hotel offers a multiplex movie theater and a good selection of restaurants. adjacent to Ocean Walk Village on the beach side is a large band shell shaped like a sand castle. They had music on Saturday night followed by fireworks off the end of the Pier. On the south end of the boardwalk they have a small amusement park with a few rides, an arcade, the typical tourist trap souvenir shops, and Joes Crab Shack located at the end of the Main Street Pier. Didn't get a chance to eat at Joe's but it always seemed to be crowded. The Daytona Beach Convention Center is right across the street.

Based on other reviews that I read, I requested a room in the north tower. This turned out to be a good choice as the room was very clean and in reasonably good condition except for a few cracked tiles in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a large sliding glass window which was good for catching the cool sea breeze, listening to music from the band shell, watching the sunrise, and/or observing the fireworks without having to leave the room.

The hotel itself has a nice Spa, two pools (one in each tower), several hot tubs, and a nice exercise room. There are also several restaurants from buffet to pub style to high end steakhouse. Service was very good except for an older woman who was the hostess at the buffet restaurant, and who didn't seem to have the temperament for the job. There is also a convenience store if you want to grab some food, soft drinks, ice cream, or baked goods on the run.

The only real downside to this hotel is the parking, or cost thereof. Self parking, at $12 per night, is located behind a barbecue restaurant across A1A from the hotel and depending where you get a spot in that lot, you can have a nice walk back to the hotel. Valet parking is $19 per night. Overall, we had a very good experience and would definitely stay here again, despite the buffet restaurant hostess and poor parking situation. Again, I would recommend the north tower based on our experience. It appears that based on other reviews, the south tower is not as nice, but I can't speak from experience.

Room Tip: Definitely ask for an ocean view room on one of the higher floors in the north tower.

we just finished a long weekend at the hilton daytona beach ocean walk village - the hotel was great, a few unexpected things:

a kid craft area next to the pool, the kids could go in anytime and do a craft or play wii's or ps3's, ping pong etc there was also a pool table, foosball table and gigantic chess set out by the pool - all was free except the crafts - if you pay the resort fee you can do a free craft everyday.

fun restuarants close by - bubba gumps, sloppy joes, johnny rockets, joes crab etc... plus many onsite restuarants to choose from

the room was clean and comfortable and all the staff we encountered was friendly and helpful

the beach was great with lifeguards posted and food, chairs and umbrellas available ($)

there are also carnival rides, movie theater and arcades close by.

Room Tip: they call some rooms ocean "view" - they have just a good a view of the ocean as the ocean...

Stayed here during biketober .. Very pricey but Great location for the weekend ... Room was a little dated but we only slept there... The most disturbing is that we had the do not disturb sign on the door when we left the room... We were out of toilet tissue and asked housekeeping woman that was cleaning near by room to leave the a roll by the door as she had none at the time and we were leaving ... When we returned to the room. Someone had come In the room refilled the toilet tissue organized the shoes but didn't make the bed.... THE WHILE THING WAS CREEPY!!!!!
We always keep the do not disturb sign on The outside if the door as with Ang stay we do not want any maid service it anyone in our room ... When I called to speak to the manager they have me no explanation for this!!!!! NOT SURE I WOULD STAY HETE AGAIN EXCEPT THE LOCATION IS EXCELLENT FOR WHAT WE WANTED ...

The rooms were what I have come to expect from Hilton, needs revamping. The view of the ocean was fantastic as well as the view of the boardwalk.the staff was cordial and efficient. Hyde park Steak house was good but we had found better for a lot less a few blocks away.If you love the same ole-same ole, then you will be happy.I was not disappointed with the service, but to keep me happy and keep the brand loyalty, they need to mix it up more....the rooms on the BOTTOM floor that walk out to the ocean to me are the best ones to get. their buffet was great. The sports bar was also a good quiet break away from the room too.

Room Tip: All rooms face the ocean, however, ground floor that walks out to the beach are the best.

Chose this hotel as its across the road from the Performaning Arts Centre: Had a good walk-in rate from the very helpful lady on reception: the lobby and grounds are excellent; all very clean and sparkling. The room itself was actually a little dated with regard to the decor; a widescreen TV in one of those big old cupboards that used to house the bulkly TVs; furniture also in need of a update: but its the views you pay for and in this case you simply cannot fault it: simply beautiful!
Should also mention that the in-room coffee was a brand (Lavazza) and the bathroom was clean and bright - The only down side is the parking is off site and across the road; not the best but they do offer valet -on-site (which actually doesn't cost that much more and we should have paid with hindsight)- overall a nice hotel if the price is right!
