“Excellent place for kids to learn and explore!”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

This wonderful place is an art themed museum with many things to do for young children. There are three main playground equipment areas with rooms in between to do art projects, use computers, play music, and hands-on exploring. The facility is amazing and includes a county library. There is a place to eat as well as a gift shop. I purchased a yearly family membership since I live close by and have visited once a month since it opened.

“Fabulous place for kids to learn, meet friends and have fun....”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

Went there with 2 grand daughters, 5 and 8 years old. They enjoyed playing kitchen, making crafts, exploring projects, and playing drums. Well managed with young adult supervision in all rooms. The new facility is very clean and bright. There is a gift shop and snack bar also. Entry is through membership or a cost of $11 per person... Highly recommended if in the area. A good way to spend several hours with the kids.

“Too little to do”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

I was hoping my kids would have a more interactive experience; a lot of exhibits don;t work, missing parts, boring activities. The place is beautiful

“young(&old) will be delighted”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

A visit with my 22 month old grandson visited with his parents was simply great. Greeted by brightly painted 12 foot tall letters spelling "I LOVE YOU" even the adults were excited. The exhibits were all hands on and well worth the under $15 admission (under 2yrs free). My grandson loved the the Alice in Wonderland inspired exhibit with its playhouse, farmers market, reading room, giant tea cup slide and water play area. There is one room devoted entirely to making puppets and marionettes. There are ample supplies to be creative and then perform in the puppet castle, complete with its back stage area, curtain, door and window for a true show. There is a percussion room decorated in an urban theme where kids use drumsticks to whack hub caps and buckets or spin different size bicycle tires and let playing cards flutter against them. Another exhibit has drawing stations, some with stencils, some with art to inspire or a mirror for self portraiture. A full size replica of a sub-sahara African hut offers wooden stools and different size drums. it's a big hit. And so Is Young At Art.

“Great place”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

This new facility is outstanding. Great for all ages. If you have little ones, it helps to engage them in the activities rather than just walking around. I saw so many parents busy on their cell phones rather than interacting with their children. Put your technology away & interact with your children. If I had small children/grandchildren living here, I would definitely take a membership.
