“Expensive”
Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

Not really knowing the golf scene in Orlando, my expectations were high of Champions Gate (International Course) based on reviews and the $150 green fees. You know when you play a great course you say "wow", worth the money, and want to come back...I could'nt say this. It was hard to judge the actual shot making design as played throug unbearable winds with no normal shots. But overall condition of tees and fairways didn't wow me although at least greens were in good shape. Although some water/marsh areas, tons of sand, the overall scenery was not too memorable. I would not come back if visiting Orlando again. $150 bucks is just too much for this course.

“Overpriced and Underloved”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

Played both courses and they were the most expensive by far. Very quiet on the golf course and no wonder why.
The official starter was missing so we had to go it alone anyway. No worries.
The signage and directions leave a lot to be desired and at one hole we could have gone in any direction. It took us several minutes to work out (and we have played a lot of golf)
Meal in the clubhouse was superb and the stir fry truly excellent.
However, if you are looking for great value golf or great quality golf you will find neither here.
It's slick marketing and a brand name that will suck you in but save your money, avoid being disapppointed and play elsewhere. The round cost us over $100 and $40 would have been pushing it value wise.

“over-hyped golf course”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

with name of Greg Norman, barely average course, over-priced. played both international and national. I have to say these two are just average design, nothing to brag about. there are several other courses in Orlando area with cheaper green fee and more interesting layout. I think Omni and Norman design is over-hyped, just like other courses with big shot name designers with high price tag.

“Nice course despite the tropical storm”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

I played this course with my wife and another adult in our vacation group. The course layout was nice and a bit difficult but still playable for all handicaps. Unfortunately for us right before our tee time a tropical storm came through which would eventually cause us to cut our round short. I have never seen a course handle extreme downpours like this. The clubhouse was very nice and the pro shop was very reasonably priced. The staff was great and will definitely play there next time I am in Orlando.
