“Great Place, especially if you know where to go”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

Excellent Place, My family and I have stopped here twice, both times were great.
Highlands Reserve has many to let properties, a small shopping area just outside, and obviously a golf course. Both houses we stopped in were first class.

Its about 20 minutes away from Disney and about 30 minutes from Universal both easily accessible via the I4 or 192. The shopping area has a publix, liquor store and few takeaways (the indian is very expensive) and an applebee's restaurant. I would recommend going a little further down highway 27 to go to a large walmart as the prices are considerably cheaper than publix.

The golf course is nice, and the staff at venue were very helpful, the rental clubs were excellent clubs, not cheap rubbish you amy find on other courses. I would suggest buying balls from walmart though as they were quite expensive at the pro shop.

All round an excellent place, nice and quiet if you want to relax, but only a short distance away from the hustle and bustle if that's what you would like.

Been to Florida 8 times now & highlands reserve is the best place we've stayed! We've stayed here 3 times now & we will definetely be returning! Its extremely safe & we've never had any trouble, All the villas are well maintened from the outside and the area is spotlessly clean with no litter what so ever. Its only 20 minutes from Disney but Highlands Reserve is so peaceful which is lovley after a busy day at the themeparks! You would never believe you are so close to disney and kissimmee! Right next door to Highlands Reserve is a Publix where you can get all your food shopping. Theres also a nail salon, a chinese, ice cream shop, British Fish and Chip shop and even more food places, sorry cant remember them all! But our favourite was Applebees! We come here all the time, its great & so close to the villas! Theres also a gas station & inside you can buy all sorts of food & they have a hot food counter where you can get burgers & things like that & its very good price! We came here often for our lunch & then went back to the villa! On the other side of the road there is a new CVS chemist. The Highlands Reserve golf course is lovley & the villas that face onto it have great views! We used to get up early in a morning & watch the sun come up over the golf course! .. Would recommend anyone to come here, its great for families & most important its a safe environment. We dont have a bad word to say about highlands reserve

Me & my family have been to Florida 10 times staying in a number of villas and trying out hotels in Orlando. Highlands reserve was probably the best by far. The homes were high quality well maintained just like the whole estate. We loved it so much that we are going back in 2014 and staying there again but this time to try the golf as well

Would recommend these villas to anyone as these are the bet I've stayed in out of 10+ villas, so choses these if you are going to Disney, you won't forget booking it because you'll love the villa and hopefully your holiday from start to end

My family and I just returned for our Florida vacation. We are a family of 6 so normally we would need 2 hotel rooms. This time we decided to rent a vacation home. We used Watson Vacation Homes. The original house we chose prior to arrival was 4 bedrooms. Before we got there, that house became unavailable because the owners were coming to town so the property manager (Lisa Watson) moved us to a 5 bedroom home with 3 baths. There was no charge for the upgrade. Since we were flying in late, Lisa gave us the option to have groceries purchased in advance and waiting for us at the house. This was great since we didn't get there until 10:30 pm.

The home was very clean and well equipt with everything we needed.

The garage has a pool table, fooseball table, and air hockey. The house also had a screened in pool with floatables.

A few days into our stay the pool got cloudy. I emailed Lisa and within an hour the pool maintenance people were there and cleared it up!

The house was about 20-25 minutes from Universal Studios. It was a bit closer to to Disney. I liked the location because it was not in the middle of everything but close enough to be convenient to everything. There was also a grocery store very close by.

In addition to the private pool at the house, there is a community pool and playground.

I would recommend this property. It was located in Highlands Preserve. Lisa Watson was very easy to deal with and very accommodating.

We stayed at 140 Bonville Drive, Highlands Reserve, Davenport for 2 weeks with my family. This is an excellent location about 30 mins from Disney / Universal and just far enough away to be nice and quiet. The villa was modern and very well equipped with and excellent pool and patio area. We were very impressed with the facilities that were at the villa including free WiFi, cable TV and all the amenities you would need. The only minor problem we had was that the coffee machine did not work when we arrived. However, a quick call to Pam at Frontline Florida Property Mangement and we were given 2 options. We could either purchase our own and she would remburse us or she would have one delivered to us that day. We opted to buy one as we were going to Walmart that day to do some shopping. We were every impressed with the service and helpfulness that Pam showed us and would highly recommend their service.
Publix is just around the corner but Walmart is just 3 miles up the road which is much cheaper.
The Chinese Takeaway beside Publix is superb and so is the pizza place.
Getting to the attractions was easy but we would suggest leaving at about 8am to get there early to get on the busiest rides.
We would definitely return but would book directly with Frontline Florida Property Management and not through Thompson.

Just arrived back from a 2 week stay at Highlands Reserve and the whole family loved it. We stayed at 1121 North Hampton Drive and it was beautiful. It was very clean when we arrived and had little touches such as crocodiles fashioned out of the towels on the beds, the kids though they were great. The pool and the surrounding area was very clean and was cleaned weekly. it was a little cold in the pool but I loved it for a morning wake up swim and once the kids were in it splashing about they soon warmed up. They were never out of it when we were at the villa. The villa was only around a 25 min drive from Disney and International Drive and there were 2 ways to get there, the 192 or I4. A massive Walmart is only a 5 min drive away and a Publix supermarket is over the road which is walkable. We used the Publix supermarket to order a wedding buffet for back at the villa as myself and my partner got married at Cypress Grove. The food was superb. The main bedroom had a queen sized bed and an en suite. There were 2 dining areas, 2 twin rooms and one double room. The kitchen had a dishwasher and a huge cooker. The villa had free wifi and a safe which beforehand when I asked Thomson their reply was that no Thomson villa have these services. Entertainment wise, the villa had cable, 2 dvd players and 2 tv's. The main tv was massive. In conclusion the villa was unbeatable for a family travelling to Florida for a self catering holiday. Loved it!

Room Tip: Ask for 1121 North Hampton Drive.
