“Certainly not a resort quality stay”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2014

As a conference center the Omni Resort seemed totally unprepared for the number of people staying in the hotel causing service to be slow to the point of making my group late to events, the valet seemed inept at moving people in and out of the hotel and since there is nothing around the hotel, and the service at the hotel restaurants was so poor this caused a problem with the stay.

Just stayed here for a national conference of over 1100 people. Now I get that they were busy - but really NO HOT Water in the shower for 2 mornings in a row. They have a nice make-up mirror in the bathroom, but the light on it didn't work. Wallpaper peeling. And - because it's a "resort" there is not even a stinking vending machine anywhere..so if you need to get a bottle of water - it's $6 for the 2 in the room - or room service for a stupid can of soda. Wasn't even that great a room for a room that goes for $300 a night. What the heck...Would never stay here again.

For a conference or family vacation, this property is impressive. The service, rooms, food, facilities and staff are all far more than I expected. You will need a car to get around but otherwise I highly recommend this destination.

Beautiful golf resort hotel situated far from the interestate enough to appreciate the quiet. Beautiful landscaping. Excellent rooms except for the water temperature of the shower. Despite three calls the temperature never got hot. The best it got was tepid. No explanation was given.

Awesome hotel. Staff is excellent, food is outstanding, especially in the ZEN restaurant. Felt very welcomed when arrived. Beautiful pool area, especially for families. Would highly recommend this property to anyone.

The rooms are impressive and the resort is emaculate but the accomdations are poorly built you can here people coming and going in the halls and doors slamming all hours of the day and night..for the cost of the rooms my expecation was a quiet room. The tempature was difficult to regulate in the room it was either hot or cold we did take into consideration that we were there on one the coldnest nights Florida has seen in a while but still it was still uncomfortable for upscale style accomodations. The food was excellent with exception of the "boxed lunch" program at the convention hall they didn't provide enough lunches and we had to sit and wait which made us late for the next program. The bartenders are a little heavy handed on the alcohol in the mixed drinks so they were a little hard to drink had to water it down some there is a fine line between a good mix drink and too much alcohol and the drinks are WICKED expensive.. like $18.00 for one Martini and $9.50 for a Southern Comfort and sprite... Breakfast was ok but pricy for a buffet style where half the food is soggy and cold before you get to the table. There were some really obnoxius kids running around the resturant blocking the servers from waiting on customers shame on management for not addressing the situation quickly it made it miserable for other customers. My significant other finally had to say something to the kids because they kept hitting the back of his chair. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained like I said the resort is eye pleasing but not a well put together place.

Dear Kim A,

Thank you for being our guest and for providing very valuable feedback as we strive to improve. As you pointed out, FL has seen some of the season's coldest temperatures. Within a 48 hour window we have seen temperatures rise or fall by as much as 40 degrees. Since your stay, we have taken steps to advise guests when to expect the colder weather and to inform them about the extra blanket available in the guest room closet. We also apologize for your experience in the restaurant and we are reviewing your comments to see how we can better manage those situations. We hope you will decide to return and stay with us in the future. Best regards!

I was there for a Trade Show, the hotel & convention center are very convenient to each other. The amenities offered at the resort were top notch. I did not have the opportunity to play golf this trip but I have in the past and it is a fun course to play. Bring your A game, because it is challenging. Convenient to all the attractions & shopping.
