Omni at ChampionsGate is an upscale golf resort just a few miles from.all of the Disney parks. Our room was plush, comfortable and immaculate. The lazy river around the pool area is a relaxing way to wind down. Highly recommend this excellent resort.

We just returned from spending a long weekend at the Omni Resort and were very pleased with the service, grounds, restaurant options and comfort. We also brought our two little dogs!!

The room was very clean and it smelled like it had just been remodeled. The bed was super comfortable with down pillows and covers and the bathroom was very clean and spacious. Even big enough to put the puppies crate.

The grounds are kept immaculate, there is a place to sit around the pool for everyone and the restaurants are pretty good. There are 2 main pools, a kids play area and of course the lazy river. The water was a little cold for my taste but I’m a Floridian so I guess everything below 80 degrees is cold for me!! If you are a golfer than this is definitely the place to stay because there is something to do for the entire family. There is also a clubhouse that we didn’t get to check out but it also has a restaurant.

The location of the hotel is great if you are planning on going to the parks a few times because it’s only about 10 minutes away. There is a hotel shuttle that can take you for an additional $20 pp. If you want to go to International Drive or the downtown area than be prepared to drive about 20 -30 minutes.

The hotel charges the common resort fee ($18), valet parking overnight is $24, and self parking is about $18 but I am not sure because we just valet. The pet fee is $50 per night per dog. So be prepared to add this to your final bill.

The email confirmation that I received from them a couple of days before stated that valet parking overnight is $18 but when the bill came it was $24 so I brought it up to their attention and they issued a credit right away. I wished they offered the service to walk your dogs because they only recommend third party individuals.

Overall I recommend the hotel especially if you have kids, bringing your furry friends or if you want to stay somewhere nice by the theme parks. We’ll be back for sure!

Room Tip: Get a room facing the golf course.

A group of friends went with me to celebrate my "62" birthday and boy did we have fun! The hotel is beautiful! We played at the waterpark all day(loved the lazy river). Had a great meal at Trevi's and came back to my room to find not one but two delicious birthday cakes sent up by management as a happy birthday surprise. This hotel has it all! Great restaurants, waterpark, spa and a golf course! We will be back!

I shared a lovely weekend here with my husband. The Omni definitely feels like an indulgence without the exorbitant cost of some other luxury hotels. The bed was comfortable, the formal pool was quiet and relaxing and everything is extremely clean. Restaurants are all delicious too. I have a few minor groans, though: 1. There's no IPOD connection in the room, not even via an AUX cord on the alarm clock. Okay, not an enormous problem, but in this day and age even Hampton Inn has an IPOD connection. 2. We vacated our room Saturday morning by 9 and returned close to 4 to find our room just as we'd left it. It's always nice to come back after a long day at the pool to find your room refreshed -- seems like this should have happened by 4 pm, right? 3. After booking our reservation, my husband e-mailed advising of our repeat stay and requesting suggestions and information on anything special going on, etc., and the response from from hotel staff was pretty curt at best. They even advised him to make a reservation at Zen via open table rather than offering to book it for us. These little services, however nuanced, go a long way in making a guest's experience exceptional instead of just great. Overall, our stay was great. Looking forward to our next trip to Omni!

Dear Natali A,

We appreciate that you selected our resort for your recent getaway. Thank you for pointing out the amenities you enjoyed the most. Some of our guest rooms have the new alarm clocks with the MP3 player but they are not yet available in all of the guest rooms. We apologize that you did not have the newer version. Regarding Housekeeping, we are servicing rooms until late in the day, however you can request Housekeeping service by a certain time if you have a special need and we will do our utmost to accommodate your request. We have also addressed your last concern about your pre arrival email. Next time, we absolutely will offer to make a reservation for you. We hope for the opportunity to serve you again in the near future. Best regards!

I just came back from a weekend at the Omni ChamionsGate. This was a quick weekend getaway with my two kids. I chose this hotel based on the reviews, the pool, and I prefer golf resorts because they tend to be quieter.

I will start with the wonderful things about this hotel.

The grounds are beautiful, self parking is easy and very close to the front entrance of the hotel. All resort Managers should study the elevator system at this hotel. We never waited more than a few moments. We were on the eleventh floor and had no problems quickly getting an elevator. Love the herb garden on the hotel grounds. The lazy river is very nice. Even after a big storm, the attendents cleaned the pools and river quickly. Quite impressive.

Check in was quick. My daughter received a back pack with treats, games and a water bottle. Nice touch. The one tip, the braclet making kit had no way to cut the plastic ropes. If I didn't have clippers she would have complained alot about not being able to make crafts. Have something to cut the rope with or you will never hear the end of it from your child. The cookies were welcome and good.

The room was clean and nice. This is one of the few hotels that listened to the request of high floor, away from elevator and away from main halls. We were at the end of a long hallway and it was very quiet. Thank you Omni. The beds were not great, they were not the softest and were on the small side and quite firm.

This hotel is away from the main area so there is not many choices for food. McDonalds, Subway, Chilies and Publix grocery store is really all that is close.

Easy access onto I4 was nice.

Now for the reason for four stars instead of five. We had two things happen that were issues for us.

The hotel has a food bar near the exit to the pools. We went there for snacks. We bought four desserts. Each was around $5.00 a piece. After paying for, but before eating, my son noticed a live fly was in the case with the chocolate cake. He asked if he could swap for another desert from the other case. The woman at the counter refused. Now I understand that it is only a fly, but it really bothered us and he wouldn't eat the cake. Since the Board of Health gives write ups for live flys I would think that this woman would understand and switch desserts. Not here. We ended up having to throw it away uneaten. Not the worst thing to happen at a hotel, but it still was something that made me wonder what the kitchen staff is like if live flys are such little concern.

The other was the room cleaning staff. We left on Saturday at 9:00am. We came back at 3:00 to get ready to go to an evening show. The room was not cleaned yet. We called down and were told someone would be right up. About thirty minutes later we called again and told them just bring towels and shampoo so we could get ready. We finally got towels but no shampoo. The lady said she would be back. When we returned at 10:00pm we had more towels but that was all. The room hadn't been cleaned and no shampoo or soap, but they did a turndown which entailed restacking the pillows and folding down the sheet. I would have rather had the shampoo and soap which was promised. I had to go to the front desk to get shampoo for Sunday morning. Not the end of the world, but something that should be noted.

Finally one last tip...We really wished for a microwave. We had food that we ate cold and talked about how nice a microwave would be. My daughter found the microwave when I was getting ice for the trip home. They are kept in the vending room. Sure wish we knew that before.

Room Tip: Microwave in vending rooms.

This hotel has become one of favorite stays when going to any of the nearby parks. With the water park AND kid care on site mom and dad can have quality time as well, on or off property. Food service and amenities all worth the money!
