We arrived and collected our key from the reception area, spent sometime trying to find our house as they are situated some distance away from the reception and pool location. The house we were given was clean and had plenty of room, although the toilet overflowed continually. The next day we looked out the window to find the CSI outside the property next door. Initially they wouldn't tell us what had gone on but after my husband explained he was concerned as we have small children they explained that 5 houses in this area had been broken into. We were never informed by our rep of reception. The pool area is great, but due to breaks being given away free to try and sell the homes. I spoke to some couples who informed me they did not have to pay a penny as long as they took the tour! As we drove through the estate the houses were packed with families making the most of the freebie holidays by the looks of things and they were having parties with people sitting along the road side, not sure if this is the norm. All in all we didn't feel safe staying with two small children. The pool area was great for children but smoking by the kids side of the pool was a regular thing. Vent covers were missing and fag ends were around. We could work out how to use the phone and staff were unhelpful, although they did sell us a phone card! The reception area carpet was filthy, but a couple of days before we left they started major refurb works, we were not informed of this at any time. On a plus point, the area was in a good location for the attractions etc.

When we arrived for check-in, I was a little concerned. The pool area was crowded with some rough looking people; however, my mood quickly changed when I saw the condo. The place was nicely decorated with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. There were other upgrades...flat screens in every room, nice jetted tub in the master, nice bedding, spacious rooms/closets, etc... The pool area was sometimes crowded and rowdy, but other than that, it was really nice. The kids loved the pool area because it had a waterslide and a lazy river. I would go back in a heartbeat.

The Regal Palms Resort was a great place for our family vacation. I was told to go to Simon's website (regalpalmsrental.com). The townhome that we rented was extremely clean. There were 4 bedrooms and 3 baths (enough privacy away from the kids). There was no carpeting, as mentioned in a bad review. Every bedroom had a tv and the living room had a tv, dvd, cd and radio. The kitchen was fully equipped for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My husband and I were able to enjoy our vacation, because the kids had such a great time at the pool, lazy river and slide they did not bother us to go the theme parks all the time. We were able to relex at the pool and feel like we were on a vacation, not a race to all of the parks. We did get to Disney and came home not exhausted. We are going back in the summer, because we did not spend as much as we did in the past staying in the theme parks. This Resort is a great place especially now when everyone wants to save money.

We just returned from a solid week at Villas at Regal Palms and it was wonderful. The location just outside of Orlando was perfect for us and the availability of stores, fast food, restaurants all within about 5 miles of the resort was perfect. The townhouse was lovely with granite countertops in the kitchen and baths and the location, again, close to major highways was great. We will definitely do this again!!

I checked in at front desk that was fine. Got to villa which was very far from pool. Looked nothing like website. The tan carpet was black stained. 1 TV in a 3 bedroom home. Slider to back was gross & rusted. Tall grass growing outside the back. It smelled musty. That was the beginning. I asked for another room they were oversold out. So she was more than happy to give me a refund. Except she refunded it to the wrong card and its a week later and its still not resolved and it left me out $1000 for the week that I had to borrow from a friend. We stayed at another place. Celebrity Resorts 100% better and they took us right in with no reservation.

We really liked the pool and size of the townhomes. Everything was really nice except the carpet was gross and the beds were really uncomfortable. The service was good and location was great. If I didn't have little kids on the floor all the time I think I would have liked it even more.

Our unit was 3 bedrooms with 2 1/2 baths. Plenty of room, but it would've been nice if there were at least two twin beds in one of the guest bedrooms. While there is sleeping for 8, it might feel a bit crowded if 8 adults occupied the unit (especially with only 2 full baths).

The units were clean and there were plenty of kitchen accessories. The cleaning staff was a bit lack in re-stocking bath and kitchen soaps, etc, but this was rectified after a call to the office.

We stayed here via a timeshare exchange. The timeshare check-in is across the hall from the "hotel" check-in, which can cause confusion. It also took a bit longer than expected to check-in, but there were no difficulties. The timeshares are a little distance from the pool area. Our unit was probably a good 10-15 minute walk, but you can drive and park near the clubhouse. Since we were there to play golf, I didn't use any of the amenities, but I was surprised that the pool closed at 8 pm. However, it may stay open longer during the peak periods, i.e. school vacation times.

Wrist bands were required to get in the pool area. Ask the staff to show you the "trick" to put on the band so that you can take it off without cutting it. I read somewhere that hotel guests are charged a separate fee for this privilege, but there was NO fee was charged to the timeshare guests.

There was free wireless, but only in the clubhouse area. Resort computers could be used, but there was a charge. I was told $15/hr, but that seemed high, so I would suggest checking with the resort for the actual amount.

The staff was courteous and helpful and there was a restaurant on the premises that offered some good specials.

A shopping plaza is near the resort for all your shopping needs.

The resort is a bit off the beaten path; RT 192 and access to WDW and other restaurants are approx a 15-20 minute drive. Close enough to various attractions, but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of Orlando. If you want to be right in the middle of things, than this location is not for you.

FOR GOLFERS:
A golf course is across the street from the resort and discounts are available for greens fees, club rentals and the driving range. You can also get discounts for a new course which is about 20 minutes away call Providence CC.
