We stayed at the resort from July 30 to August 6 2011. We used RCI points and got a 3 bedroom villa.

Overall the resort was great. The check-in/out was easy and when we lost a key it was quick to get a replacement. Our unit was very clean and as advertised. The 3 bedroom villa was spacious enough to house our group of 7 and everyone was comfortable.

The waterpark area is the best feature of the resort. We were there at some point on most days. There is 1 water slide that can be ridden by a child about 6 or older by themselves or with a parent if they're younger. My 16 year old nephew still found it fun, but not as exciting as at bigger water parks. The lazy river is surprisingly quite fast and medium sized but big enough for the resort. Overall the waterpark was one of the highlights of the trip for sure.

My wife and friend went to the spa and got manicures and massages and came away happy.

The onsite reseraunt is of good quality but a bit pricy (about the same price as Appleby's). The bar by the pool served up good frozen margaritas.

I would recommend this resort to a friend.

Cons:
The Gates/security system were broken most of the week and the pool ran out of towels most night. The unit came with 8 towels and we had to use the laundry a lot through the week as a result. About half of the gym equipment was out of service at any given time and the area is not supervised so there's 10 year olds crawling all over the equipment.

Thank you for the review of your recent stay with us. We’re glad our spacious three-bedroom townhouse met all your needs. As you mentioned, it sleeps seven (or more) comfortably, with a king size bed in the master bedroom, full size beds in the second and third bedrooms and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. We’re happy you enjoyed our water park. It’s one of our most popular amenities and includes a thrilling water slide. The main entrance electronic gate was under repair during your stay. Camera surveillance at the main entrance and other gates on the property was fully operational, and we can assure you security was never compromised. The two inoperative exercise machines were awaiting back-ordered parts, which have since been installed. All the exercise equipment is now ready for you to work up a sweat. Three bedroom units are stocked with linens and towels for eight. Extra towels can be obtained through the front desk. We’re sorry the pool ran out of towels. It is typically well-stocked. Thank you once again for your comments, and we hope to see you again soon.

You make of a holiday what you will. We enjoyed our stay here, especially the villa. It was lovely to have a private home space and the shared facilities to choose from.
It would have been nice to have basics like tea and coffee available on first arrival but that is not a complaint but an observation.
Although outside of Orlando it wasn't too far and it was very easy to get anywhere.

We visited at the end of May/beg June 11. We had never visited Orlando before and I was keen to make the right decision with accommodation. I found Simon's site on the web and spoke to him, he was exceptionally helpful and I felt at all times that he was a genuine person, I wasn't worried about being scammed.
Regal Palms is in a good spot, we were driving to Disney in about 20 mins each morning and having the pool with slides was great for our two kids. Simon provided very helpful and comprehensive directions to the property from the airport and also to Disney. There is a supermarket close by with a selection of other shops and restaurants which we walked to some evenings (5min). We didn't eat at Regal Palms so I can't vouch for the restaurant. The property is clean and large with an ensuite to every bedroom. Good beds, plenty of spare towels and bedding. Washing machine and dryer (I did all my holiday washing before I came home). There isn't anywhere to sit outside the property to have a meal or a snack, but there is lots of seating up at the pool area (but you can't take your own food there).

The check in process was horrible! Regal Palms tried to make us take a 3 BR unit even though our confirmed reservation was for a 4 BR unit. We ourselves had to call Consolidated to have them make Regal Palms honor our 4 BR reservation. During this process, we were dealing with a very obnoxious and rude front desk girl named Kayla. While we were dealing with the unit size issue, this Kayla ran our credit card for a 250.00 deposit which was not suppose to be. Apparently our deposit should only have been 100.00- which was for a time share unit. The whole check in process took about an hour and was only sped up because of the only shining star of the resort- Ty. Ty corrected the BR issue and gave us a 150.00 restaurant credit to adjust for the overcharge of deposit. Unit was poorly clean. There was dirt in the corners, scuff marks on the wood floor, stairs had dirt stuck to them, squished bugs on ceiling, kitchen sink had about 1 inch of caulking around where it met counter to close huge gap, frying pan was severely scratched, spare pillows had stained pillow cases, 2nd bedroom floor creaked really bad and you could feel the floor move under your feet, tubs didn't drain, hot tub didn't work, no chairs on the patio except for a table and patio was dirty. Living room would only support seating for 5 people although unit is for 10 people. Pool area is quite smaller than it appears in photos. Pool area had numerous broken / missing tiles and was dirty. We were there for about 1.5 hours and never once seen a resort staff walk thru the pool area. Pool water was cloudy and full of bugs and dirt. Lazy river had sharp edges on the grates at the bottom of the pool. Tiki bar was very dirty and bartenders looked like they belonged at a biker bar. Also, Tiki bar / restaurant is not resort restricted- it is open to the public. Gate restricted access is a joke. Gate at front of resort is always open and accessible by anyone. Check out process had just as many problems. Regal Palms wanted us to pay for our room charges even though we had a 150.00 credit issued from the check in process. We had to wait until Ty came back to front desk to get corrected. We noticed on the walls that Interval had given the resort awards and were quite perplexed as to how and why. We will never use this resort again or recommend this resort to anyone. It should have been stated somewhere that this resort is not a timeshare only property. It is privately owned with a small section of resort maintained timeshare units in the back corner of property.

Dear "Millertime":
I wanted to take this time to write you a short note of apology for the apparent mix up with your reservation. You should have had a 4 bedroom unit rather than the 3 bedroom you were offered. There was certainly no excuse for the lack of care and concern you received form the front desk staff at the resort.
I would like to offer you another opportunity to come back and stay at the resort complimentary. Please contact me at lmitchell@crmlv.com or 702-933-5970.
Sincerely,

While we the Villa at Regal Palms was an ideal set up for our family of 10 with 5 under age 10, every activity was at the entrance to the resort and we were in the very back so we piled in the cars and had to drive, even to swim. BUT the biggest SHOCK was that "The Resort" charged $10/day to 'rent a crib/pack'n'play'. We have traveled with these chailren since they were born and have never encountered any charge like this before. Bob Farmer, the Director of Home Management for the resort replied to my email that "The standard charge for hire of a pack'n'play at the resort is $10 per day plus tax. BE ADVISED.

This is a beautiful place and the villas are spectacular, but just like most resorts they get you there then there is no good service. The villa appears to be very clean upon arrival but as you settle in, you find that the floors and corners are filthy (actually there was food in the corners in the living room area). I have found this at several of the club resorts and would be very upset if I had small children. It was advertised and printed in their brochure that there was cleaning service once during your weeks stay - we never had a visit for cleaning. I was disappointed to find at this resort that not even toilet paper, soap and tissues are not provided. We had problems with the cable TV and did notify maintenance 3 times and it was never fixed. I asked the front desk to print my boarding passes for our flight home and they told me I would have to pay a fee to use the computers in the business center. I have never before been to a resort or hotel that would not gladly provide this service at no charge. As for Internet service, I can't believe this place does not have free Internet access in the villas. Anywhere you go today there is free access, even in cafe's and restaurants. The activities and music at the pool area were lame. There was a barbeque at the pool advertised and I thought "wow this is great" but the only thing they had was overpriced hotdogs ($4.00) and hamburgers. The music being played most of the time at the pool area is just BOOM BOOM HIP HOP. Considering the majority of the visitors are over 40 years old, real music like rock, jazz, easy listening and island such as Jimmy Buffet would be much more appropriate. I really do not think I received any special value being a vacation club owner.
