“Not good on windy day”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

Based on reviews, we went here on a Sunday after lunch to fill a couple hours while waiting to pick up someone at the airport. It was a wind day, so the swimming was not even really possible. There was a LOT of seaweed on the beach and in the water. Planes went overhead regularily. I found them distracting, but my husband liked looking at them. Not very relaxing. It is a long stretch, so there was room for all. The sand is VERY HOT, so flip flops are helpful. Some pretty shells, but not a lot. Showers and bathrooms were available and in typical shape for a public place. The "educational facility" was just an area for groups to hear talks. We did find the "Nature Walk". It was kind of interesting to see native trees/plants labeled. There were lots of cobwebs, so not many people must check it out. It only took us 10 minutes to walk it as it looked like part of it was blocked off. We left about 3pm and the line of cars to get in was LOOONG!

“Hidden Gem”
Reviewed August 4, 2013 via mobile

A great beach for those that want to escape the hustle and bustle of the Hollywood beach boardwalk. The beach is great for swimming, as well as watching the cruise ships leave Port Everglades.

“Turtle Walks”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

This is a beautiful beach park. During some of the summer months, night time turtle walks are offered. If you are lucky you may see a turtle lay her eggs.

“Cruise ship watching”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Came to this beach on Saturdays, just to see the ships leave. Had great fun waving to all the cruisers leaving port. It's amazing how big some of the ships are. We did come back and got in the water to swim too. It's a long drive to the end of the road where you park to see the ships, and the lot gets full pretty quick on those days. Worth the price of admission to me!

Reviewed July 7, 2013

I went yesterday with my family and had a blast.decent crowd no troublemakers. My only pet peeve is the pollution.there was messy people yesterday. People are slobs and don't care.but overall it was a nice time at the park.
