I went yesterday with my family and had a blast.decent crowd no troublemakers. My only pet peeve is the pollution.there was messy people yesterday. People are slobs and don't care.but overall it was a nice time at the park.

Like any other state park you gotta pay to get in but it is worth it. They have bathrooms that are clean and picnic areas. The beach stays clean and the water is very clear and you can walk a good distance in the water before it went deep. It was a very nice and pleasent experience. I recommend this place for a family or couples time alone

With miles of beach there was plenty of elbow room even with the Memorial day weekend crowd. It was easy to get to, there's plenty of parking, the surf was great, the people watching was fun, the park rangers made frequent rounds so everyone felt safe - I had little to gripe about. Well, maybe the trash situation. If visitors would just pick up after themselves the place would be pristine. Do come early to stake a prime spot and bring a tent or beach umbrella or a canopy. There is precious little shade and that Florida sun can get really fierce.

Great reef (the Jacks) starting at about 100' out and intersecting the natural reef. See all kinds of stuff here, star fish Nurse Sharks and all kinds of smaller fish.

I had a really good time at this location with the family. The only thing I did not like is no shaded area.
