“Very nice stay”
Reviewed December 16, 2011

We recently stayed at this hotel prior to our cruise. Shuttle at airport arrived within 10 min of calling and driver was very courteous. Check in was prompt. Rooms were very nice. We had a 2 bedroom suite which has a separate bed room and then the second bed is divide by a 1/2 wall from the small living room. Pull out sofa as well. Was perfect for our family of 5. Very comfortable beds and pillows! Quiet room. Nice outdoor pool and weight room.
We has a lite meal in the hotel. Salads and burgers were both very good. Quick service.
Be sure to book your shuttle departure time when you check in. Shuttle service was again very good. No complaints.
Will be sure to stay here again if we are in the area.

Room Tip: 2 bedroom suite was great for family of 5. These rooms are in the corner so very quiet as well.

We planned a 90th birthday cruise for our mom late in September. Due to the fact we live in New York City, we decided to leave a day early (we've had problems with snow/weather in the past) and started to look on this sight for a friendly hotel near the pier.

We also thought we would have a small gathering in the hotel because mom has family in Ft. Lauderdale and we have friends who now live there. Called the hotel and before I knew it, Voila!, we had a full fledged surprise party!

The hotel's director of services, food manager, front desk and bar staff were all involved and created an atmosphere of comfort and surprise for our mother! The food and service at our birthday bash for 30 people was fantastic! Can't say enough about the great staff.

The rooms are beautifully appointed and we had transportation to the port on Saturday morning, December 3. We left for our cruise with smiles on our faces.

I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We had 5 rooms altogether and no one had any complaints. On the contrary, all the rooms got rave re...

We stayed at the Cambria Suites after returning from a cruise, and having read the fabulous reviews about the hotel and the Cuban restaurant across the street, we were really looking forward to a relaxing last day of vacation before our flight back to Gloomy Ugly Snowville (aka "home"). Transportation from Port Everglades to the hotel is free. The room was great and the bed very comfortable, the hotel is quiet and has all the amenities you could wish for. Do be aware that if you wear contact lenses, the bathroom sink has no stopper so you have to rinse your lenses in a glass. Also, we totally understand having to wait until mid-afternoon to check in, even though the cruise ships disembark early and passengers are typically back on shore by mid-morning. We figured to sit by the pool and relax since we had no car; unfortunately it rained and we were stuck in the lobby. After about four hours, a desk clerk came to say our room was ready, and when we walked to the desk to check in, another clerk said no, it's not ready, and we waited another 90 minutes until my husband went back to the desk to ask about the status of the room. The clerk again repeated that our room wasn't ready but the first clerk, who happened to be standing nearby, said yes it had been ready for us and she gave us our keys. So we had waited for 90+ extra minutes due to a miscommunication. During this time, we had ordered a small pizza for lunch from the hotel snack bar. The server Kimiesha brought our food, then set down fresh napkins and cutlery on the empty table next to ours, but didn't give us anything. I guess we were supposed to cut the pizza with our fingers and wipe the drippings on our pants? My husband politely asked for napkins and a plate, and Kimi rolled her eyes and went off with a sneer. She brought back the napkins & stuff but wow, what an imposition. Ugh! Then, because I had found out that while we were aboard ship my mother had emergency surgery and was in critical condition, and one of our pets had died unexpectedly and in a horrible manner, we were in no mood to meet friends at the Cuban place so decided to eat at the hotel again. What a surprise to find that a simple dinner for two in the hotel cost more than $60 before tip. We each had a mushroom burger and shared a goat cheese appetizer. I had a beer and hubby had a glass of wine, and we shared a delicious chocolate cake for dessert. Food was good but nothing spectacular, and the server, while very nice, was also slow and probably new at her job. The airport shuttle driver was a real pro, friendly and on time, and we were sorry to witness a large family back from a cruise with tons of luggage stiff him on a tip. He didn't deserve that!

This hotel is perfect and has EVERYTHING you want.

I couldn't find any negatives to report. I am the pickiest customer you will ever meet.

This far exceeded my expectations.

The only negative I could find is, if you dont have a car, there is not much within walking distance.

There is a ton of stuff within a very short drive.

The internet at this hotel is very reliable and strong.

The beds are very comfortable.

Most of the staff is very friendly.

Two employee's that stand out in my mind are Kamal and Junia.

They are the best at this hotel!

I will definatley recommend this place to friends and family when they want a place to stay in south florida!

My husband and I stayed here between layovers after our honeymoon. This hotel was very nice, new and clean. We were only there for about 15 hours but we with we could have stayed longer! We ate at the bar and it was very good. We were exhausted so all we did was eat, watch tv and pass out. The big screen tvs were nice and the bed was amazing. This was our 4th hotel to stay at in 2 weeks and by far the comfiest bed. The staff was very friendly and the drive to the airport the next morning was quick and easy, without the hotel being on top of the airport. We did not have to deal with noisy planes or the smell of jet fuel like at an airport hotel we'd stayed at in Miami. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here in December for a football game at Sunlife stadium. Check in was smooth and room was ready when we arrived at 1:30. Room had some visible wear and tear with a king size bed and a pull out couch in the adjoining room, considering price not bad though. Shower pressure was great and the bed was comfortable with feather pillows. I would recommed this for any event in the Ft. Lauderdale area and at Sunlife stadium. About 9 miles from stadium and is easy to navigate. Hotel staff was friendly and professional with easy access right off of I-95, look for the sign that reads cambria which is small and hard to see.

We stayed at the hotel for one night prior to our cruise. When we arrived at 12 noon our room was not ready so we ate lunch at the restaurant. I thought the restaurant had a very limited menu and the service was slow. The room was a nice size and very clean. The pool area was clean and very spacious. The exercise room was small but adequate. The staff at the hotel were very friendly. Overall this was a very nice hotel and I would stay there again.
