The restaurant is in a strip mall. When I saw the prices, I was a bit wary, but decided to try it anyway. I am so glad I did, The food presentation was incredible. I ordered a crepe, expecting to see one or two small crepes wrapped like a cigar. Instead the crepe was 30 inches in diameter and folded on a square plate. It was full of chicken, eggplant, and ratatouille. The presentation was fit for a luxury restaurant. Then I tasted it. It was so authentic. Crepes can be very cookie cutter food. Not these, they were hand made and delicious. I will be back for more. What a surprise! The owner is from France and she has an eye for food detail!

Great food. Had a liver dish which was mouth watering. Great deserts. Very good service (not coming to ask you ever 3 minutes how everything is, which can be so annoying when in a business meeting).

Nothing fancy about the dining room. It is simple and dated and inelegent. The food; however, was very good. Filet of Sole, Trout Almandine and roasted duck with orange sauce were all well prepared, well presented, and well flavored. The wine list is limited, but with enough choices to compliment the simple menu. The only failure was in a chocolate moose that had liquified. It was immediately replaced with a complimentary napoleon. Some reviewers complain about the service, and I can guess that on busy nights it may be a challenge for them to keep up - but on this night, our service was excellent. Yes, it is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

If you are looking for a fancy/romantic setting, this isn't it. If your priority is on well prepared, well presented French food - don't pass this place by.

It's too easy to drive past Le Petit Cafe, tucked back into a little strip shopping center on Griffin Road, but make the effort and stop - you won;t regret it.
After saying we were going to go for years, we finally went last night to try the Sunset Dinner (earyl bird). For $25 you get a choice of appetizer, main course, dessert and coffe or tea.
My wife had the Vichyssoise and I had the house salad. Her soup was very flavorful and my salad was a nice mix of fresh greens, carrots, cabbage, cucumber and tomato with a very nice hose dressing. For main courses my wife had the Beef Bourguignon and I had the Brook Trout.
Both dishes were excellent; a very nice red wine sauce with tender beef chunks and perfectly cooked trout filet in a wonderful butter and herb sauce. Both mains came with potatoes lyonaisse, carrots and cream spinach. Dessert was equal to the meal, a very light and flaky Napoleon and very fluffy chocolate mousse with a very good cup of coffee.
Service was good, with the owners wife running the front of the house with 2 waiters all working as a team, at least for the rush of people that came in for the early bird. The crowd was definitely older and included a good number of French Canadians and regulars.
The wine selection was disappointing, with few choices but decent reds and whites by the glass and carafe.
Overall we had a wonderful time and were impressed by the food, atmoshpere and attitude of the staff, all of whom were wvery warm, welcoming and sincere.
If you choose to go foe regular dinner, remember that you get the same choce of basic starters with each main course, which is a very nice meal. The list of appetizers looks vey inviting and the full menu has many great choices.
Le Petit Cafe is not an inexpensive choice, but well worht the money. We will definitely go again.

This is as close to walking into a French home for dinner that you can find in South Florida. Nothing pretentious, just a nice place to dine. We have been going here for several years and have worked our way through menu. Everything is good. Favorites are filet of sole and veal Française. The crepes, both savory and sweet are delicious.
Do yourself a favor and have a really good meal here
