Description: Located in Historic Downtown Dade City Florida, Kafe Kokopelli resides in a 101 year old red-brick, vine covered building that was constructed in 1916. Originally built as a Model-T Ford Sales and Service center it was home to the local Ford dealers until the mid 1970's. Saved a few months from demolition, the building was restored and converted to house what is now Kafe Kokopelli, a favorite of locals and visitors from all over the country.

“Eclectic Decor, Good Food”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

The decor is very interesting. It keeps you entertained while you are waiting for your food. The service is a little slow so that's a good thing. My friend and I ordered 2 different entrees so we split them. We ordered the catfish reuben (the day's special) and stuffed shrimp. We both loved the catfish reuben. It was fresh, tasty, and unique. However, we both agreed that the stuffed shrimp (regular menu item) was not a do-over. There very little stuffing because the shrimp were small, and not enough crab meat in the stuffing. I thought the dish was overpriced based on the size of the shrimp and my experiences in other restaurants. I was very disappointed with that dish. We also shared fried green tomatoes (appetizer) and bananas foster. These items were very good. I thought that some of the menu items were reasonably priced while other selections seemed expensive.

“Best Eatery in Dade City”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

Old fashioned decor and old fashioned values when it comes to good food. They still make one of the Cuban sandwiches this side of Havana. We prefer lunch over dinner but either way, don't miss out on a stop here if you are close by.

“interesting decor, terrible service”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

Was recommended by the hotel staff where we stayed. Lots of stuff to look at on the walls but the service was horrible. Our waitress acted as if we were an inconvenience and the food was just not that good. There was a couple that sat down beside us and our waitress almost fell over herself tending to them while completely ignoring the other tables. Obviously someone she knew. The cuban sadwich was so bad we did not even finish it. I understand they recently changed the menu so maybe they are getting used to things. I don't think we paid the "while we get ready" prices. Very disappointing end to a day and really suggest you try someplace else.

“Great restaurant in the middle of a quaint town”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

We stopped here as planned and hoped to find something to do in Dade City afterward. Though we failed on the second part, the first was better than expected. Kafe K reminded me of a typical college town restaurant - lots of things hanging from the walls and ceiling, good food and good service. Many of the seating areas afforded private dining. We had the clam chowder, which was good. Our son ordered pasta and meatballs and said it was very good. I had the Cali Chicken pressed sandwich (the special that day) and found the mix of chicken, bacon, and guacamole to be fantastic. Very tasty! Our waitress was very friendly, and service was for the most part was prompt. (A few gaps of inattention due to the busyness were understandable.) Overall a nice place to eat!
