This is a hard one to write a review of. The hotel was clean: the beds comfortable and the service was excellent. There was no problem checking in as they had our room ready based on our Hotel.com reservation. Although I believe I asked for a non-smoking room and was given a smoking room, but even this room had a slight smoking.smell so that was alright. The problems centered about a wi fi that didn't exist, We had better service in some third world countries we visited and we needed the internet. The other issue was the "continental breakfast." The breakfast was the bare minimum. Coffee, juice, toast and a few danish served in the lobby without tables or chairs. There are better alternatives in the area but they cost a wee bit more. However, when you add the cost of breakfast, the Comfort Inn across the road is a better alternative. .

I have come to the realization to not to expect too much with Econo Lodge. This motel does not have hair dryer, coffee maker or a microwave. It is dated, old and quite empty. The beds were alright, not that comfortable. You will not be disappointed if you do not expect much from Econo Lodge's continental breakfast. My contact with the staff of the motel was minimal. I do not find them to be overly friendly.

I booked this hotel for an overnight stay for a Memorial Day road trip but when we arrived the desk clerk was not overly helpful but we paid for and went to the room. The room was unbelievable. It was nothing like the pictures or the description on the TripAdvisor website, which I normally trust thoroughly. This room was shown to have a queen bed but instead the room was tiny with a double bed and no extra space for a table, chairs or much else. The smell was awful, a combination of mildew and mustiness that was completely repulsive. My husband went to speak to the front desk clerk who conveniently didn't know how to do a credit card reversal so we have waited 3 days but did get our money back.

Room Tip: Make sure to see the room you're getting BEFORE you pay for it

Nothing fancy but ok for an overnight stop. There was no coffee maker or hairdryer in room, but there was a fridge. Room was clean. Not much in the way of breakfast, but they did have coffee in the lobby.

The ultimate rude front desk person was on in the evening shift. Having driven a long way and being tired, we weren't expecting much -- other than a clean room and comfortable bed. Coffee, however, would have been nice -- There was a pot in "breakfast" area with the dregs. We asked if we could make fresh coffee and were told there would be some in the morning. I think she was irritated that we interrupted her crochet project by checking in. The room was basically what we expected -- tired - sparse and plain. (but the rate was right.) We were ok with that until the first thing we saw was a roach by the tiny microwave. Quickly most of our gear went back into the car. We stayed as there were no nearby options -- and to be fair, the mattress was surprisingly comfortable. As for breakfast - don't expect much and you won't be ddisappointed.

Room Tip: stay elsewhere.

We stayed here at an amazingly low rate through hotels.com on New Year's Eve. The owner was helpful, the room was large for our family of three and the cleanest of three (budget) places we stayed in Florida. And quiet for a good night's sleep before we went swimming with the manatees early in the morning!

Expedia lost our pre-paid reservation, check-in woman (?CRIVER?) still got us our room.

2 star rating, 7 star attitudes and service!!!! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about area attractions.

PET FRIENDLY!!!!!!! minimal $11 extra charge (vs $50 per night we paid in Kissimmee 3 days later, with other motels demanding $100 or more). There was a convenient area for pet walking!!!

Motel was CLEAN, secure/safe, convenient, very BUDGET-FRIENDLY, and best of all: people glad to have guests, not the "doing ya a favor" attitude so often displayed in more expensive establishments.
We will return to this Econolodge again (and again) as often as our trips to swim with the Manatees allow.

The only NOT PERFECT (not a complaint!!) part of this motel was... coffee was a bit weak for my personal taste, and did not have a microwave in the room. Next time, I'll bring my own if they still don't have coffee makers and/or microwaves in the rooms.
