“Popular Local Restaurant”
Reviewed June 27, 2014

This restaurant was suggested to us by two different Crystal River residents. That afternoon, Saturday, we decided to check out the scenic ten mile drive on West Ozello Trail, from Highway 19, to Peck's Old Port Cove near the end of the trail. We arrived at Peck's and noticed a full parking lot and knew we would be in for a treat on Sunday, the day we decided to dine at Peck's. We continued driving around the small fishing community before returning to Crystal River. So, on Sunday around 3:00 P.M., we returned to Peck's for our much anticipated meal. The menu offered various steaks, seafoods, sides, sandwiches, salads, and appetizers; however, my husband and I settled on the shrimp and grits. So delicious and spicy!! Again, the restaurant was full of diners, but we received our meal timely, plus the staff did a good job following up with drink refills and seeing to our overall satisfaction. Also, even though the interior of Peck's is typically rustic as would be expected in a fishing village, I noticed nothing of concern that would require a less than excellent rating for Peck's.

“Lunch worth the drive”
Reviewed June 26, 2014

Decided to take the drive through Ozello for a nice weekday lunch. I had the catch of the day grouper. Ordered it blackened. The fish was delicious and served with cole slaw and hush puppies plus choice of 1 side. The service was excellent. Very pleasant waitress and made sure we had all the ice tea needed! Offered one for the ride back to town in which we accepted. Enjoy the ride to Pecks and you won't be disappointed!

“German cockroaches run!!”
Reviewed June 24, 2014 via mobile

Used to love this place..the shrimp dinner was excellent.my family and I went for Mother's Day..While waiting to be seated I happened to look into the kitchen and it was a pig sty..I should have left then but noooo! I went to the ladies room to wash my hands and to my horror there was a German cockroach crawling..if you are from Florida you know we call those roaches, filth roaches. That was the final straw..Left and won't be back!!

“Great location, average food”
Reviewed June 20, 2014

We returned here for the first time in 10 years. The atmosphere is what we like in a seafood place....on the water, palm trees, tiki hut, "Jimmy Buffet-y". But, we were disappointed in our meals. Very average fried shrimp and oysters....tasted like frozen, not fresh or flavorful like you would expect. Husband had the garlic crabs, which he enjoyed but a lot of work for little "meat". Wouldn't steer away from here due to the atmosphere, but don't go expecting awesome food.
