This restaurant is in serious need of renovation. Everything was kind of dingy, broken and dated. The watiress seemed perpetually annoyed with us, and got even worse once she realized that we had a restaurant.com certificate. She added automatic gratuity onto a family of two adults and two children. That's insulting.

That being said, this was some of the most delicious food that we had on our 9-day trip. The fried seafood was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My son got a burger from the kids menu and it was juicy, huge, and obviously freshly handmade. The salad bar was not set up yet, so I can't comment on that, and the side dishes were just fine. But the main part of our meal was truly delicious.

We attended this restaurant with friends after procuring a discount voucher from restaurants.com. There is no atmosphere, tables and chairs are old, and although there are windows, the view makes you wish there weren't. I suppose this is a mom and pop place, but that really doesn't excuse its appearance. Wait staff was average although friendly. The salad bar/soup bar is small and there are not many items from which to choose. Clam chowder was very good I have to say and when our food arrived at our table, it was prepared almost OK, but some items ordered were missing from most of the plates and had to be reordered and brought later from the kitchen. I had broiled seafood and the scallops were the size of sweet peas and I felt overcooked. Dessert was better than passable though nothing spectacular. If it was noted on the menu that an 18% gratuity would be added to the check automatically, it was missed by all of us. Even with a voucher for $50.00, our bill was still over $100.00. We won't be back!

The "broiled" grouper looked and tasted like it came out of the microwave. Dried out and cold. Mashed potatoes were from a box. Fishermen platter was inadequate for the price and scalloped potatoes were also from a box, dark colored and tasted rancid. Overall YUCKY!!

First and only time at this restaurant. The fish arrived cold, the sides were tasteless. Prices are way too high for the quality of the food. The salad bar was out of plates and out of food - took a while before we could get anyone's attention.

First time at this local hot spot left us disappointed. The oysters we ordered were small and tough and the large portion for $13.99 was much smaller than anticipated. The catfish was a little better but the pieces were still skimpy. Couldn't tell the ice tea from the water. When questioned re the oyster portion, our server said that's what you get. To be fair they had a large group in the back of the dining area, but you should still be able to handle the lunchtime drop ins. Crystal River has better places to eat this same meal.
