Last minute decision to stop on way back home from Orlando -- jumped on a Kayak from "A Crystal River Kayak C." & was swimming in blue/green FRESH water that looked like the Bahamas from a distance. Easy to get to from the Kayak rental -- and WELL worth the stop. Cool CLEAR water that is just AMAZING. --- IF you lucky, as we were -- you may spot a manatee in the area -- even in the "off season".

“Wow, this is what paradise looks like!”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

We rented a canoe and paddled in about 30 minutes to this serene place. At that time there was only 1 other couple so that added up to the atmosphere of this quiet, peaceful and beautiful hidden paradise. Water so clear and blue it doesn't look real, and it looks like your canoe is floating in the air.

When we left a big group on a tour came in, so we had timed our visit well!

“No manatee sightings, but still a lot of fun”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

We went to Three Sisters Springs via a friend's boat this past Sunday, and it was a beautiful experience. We did not get to see any manatees, which was a huge bummer, but the springs were still out of this world. The water was crystal clear, and it wasn't a very crowded day, so we weren't in the middle of herds of people.

You can only access the springs by boat or kayak. It seems like quite a long kayak ride out there, so it's probably best to rent a boat for families with younger children or those who aren't as adventurous. The boaters are all courteous and aware of kayakers in the area, from what I saw.

“Rent a Kayak and you'll be in for a treat - Manatees and beautiful springs”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Three Sisters Springs is not accessible by car , but if you stop at a local Kayak rental place on the river or book a tour with local boat operators who stop outside the spring you will be seeing beautiful blue clear waters and have a chance to see Florida Manatees.

It took approximately 10-15 minutes to paddle to the Springs (my 1st time Kayaking) , Kayaks , Canoes, and swimmers are the only ones who can access the springs because of barriers that were put up to stop large boats from coming in, also you cannot tie up your kayak or canoe to any land surrounding springs.

I visited the 22nd of April and was treated by the sight of a Manatee that was in the spring area , a must see if you're in this part of Florida.
