We arrived at Crystal River watersports and they got us set up with gear and payment very quickly. We then rode over in the van with our guide, John. John was very knowledgeable about other scuba places and places to dive so we had good conversation on the way over to the river. Once we got to the river, we set up gear and then walked over to the boat. You basically get on the boat which takes you to the end of the river and then you drift dive back to the parking lot.

John was very easy to follow and pointed out fish, a turtle and several vents. We saw alligator gar and a bunch of other fish. The river is very beautiful with lots of light and sea grass. It was a very easy dive, no deeper than 25 ft if I remember correctly. At one point we had to surface and John kept everyone together.

Overall, I recommend Crystal River watersports for their affordability, knowledge and how comfortable they made us feel!

We had a group of 12 doing manatee tours and river/spring diving. All 12 of us had a wonderful experience with CRWS! Sandy and Mike were extremely personable and professional working with us for 5 straight days. Wendy and both Captain Jim's were excellent on our 1st manatee tour. However, Don, our guide for the entire week, absolutely, hands down, made our trip the best experience we could have had! Thank you all for a fabulous vacation!

Thank you so much for choosing Crystal River Watersports and for the amazing review! We all enjoyed meeting you and spending time with your group!

Don is a treasure, isn't he? He brings a wealth of knowlege about scuba diving, dive sites, as well as manatees and being an absolutely phenomenal photographer. His wide experience at local restaurants and watering holes is another asset! :D

We hope to see you again at some point! Take care and thank you again for visiting with us.

My 15 year old daughter and I did this tour twice during our recent stay in Florida. Both times were educational and fun!!! Both crews (Robert & Don and Vince & Wendy) were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. This tour is worth the price (which is modest compared to many attractions) and time spent. The weather was warm during the first tour but we managed to swim with one manatee. The second tour was colder so we managed to see over 50 manatees and able to spend almost two hours in the water with several of them. My daughter and I have two wonderful experiences thanks to Crystal River Watersports. I'd recommend this tour to anyone visiting Florida.

The best time to go is when the weather is cold because the manatees migrate further into the rivers so be sure to pack warm clothing and possibly blankets for the boat trip. The water is perfect for a wet suit snorkel adventure.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are so thrilled that you enjoyed both your trips! (It happens more often than you would think! People snorkel with the manatees and absolutely fall in love with them. They are so homely they are beautiful, and so full of charm!) If there is time, guests decide to take a second trip

We really appreciate you choosing us for your tours and for taking the time to write a review!

Hoping you and your family are safe and happy!

The people at Deluxe Manatee Swim Tour were very nice, and knowledgable about the environment. Hailey, the boat captain, and Adrian, the manatee guide were great and very fun to talk to. The small group (only 6 swimmers and then the guide) on the boat made this a great trip for our family.

We booked on the 11am tour, which we were told on the boat is not always the best time for manatees, they also said that many manatees were out at sea. The 7am group had been out for 3 hours and seen only one manatee. So on our trip to the manatee area I was not expecting to have a good time. But our Captain and guide worked well together, the Captain phoned other boats to find the best sites to go to for a chance to swim with the manatees. We swam with 5 in total. We were given plenty of info. Once we had seen the manatees we were taken to a fresh spring hole where the manatees go in the winter, here we swam in really clear water with many fish. All in all a great trip.

Hi, Thank you so much for your wonderful review!

We are so happy that you had a enjoyable time on your tour. Although it is rare that we don't see any manatees, we can never guarantee exactly how many we will see and where they will be in Kings Bay. As they are wild animals each tour will different, which is part of the fun. Our guides work hard to learn about not only manatees but also the environment, birds, the local history and other information that our guest may find interesting and amusing.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us.
