“Relaxing Weekend Getaway”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

Stayed in a Villa. Perfect for family of five with our dogs. Large grassy area right outside the back door with views of the golf course and driving range. Two full baths made it convenient to get ready. The Plantation Inn is very relaxing with the large pool area surrounded by lush landscaping and crystal clear canals. Plenty of restaurants & grocery stores nearby. Staff was very friendly.

“Old Florida Hotel and Golf Course”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

It harkens back to the old days with its grand entrance and Plantation style, hence it's very appropriate name. The golf course is maintained very well, the restaurant is very good but possible overpriced, and the lounge and outdoor seating and pool make this a place you would never really have to leave if you didn't want too. The hotel itself has two different parts, the original and new adjunct. The older rooms tend to have that musty smell, as the building sits on low land next to a creek that floods the area occasionally. The new section was built a little higher to avoid this. i would advise asking for one of the newer rooms, especially if you have respitory problems. Don't expect to be wowed by the laundry facilities if you are in for a long stay, they don't work too well. Hotel Room bedding is still of the older trend of polyester comforters and plain sheets, instead of nice down comforters. Depends on what is important to you.

“An "old Flordia" gem of a golf course”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

The Plantation Golf Course is one of the more interesting courses you'll encounter. Birds, sometimes an alligator, and interesting holes make for an enjoyable round. Watch for special promotion in local papers and coupon books. One of our favorite places to play golf. Be sure to add it to your golfing itinerary.

“Always very consistant”
Reviewed December 12, 2012

This golf course takes you back in time when courses were built to compliment and protect the natural beauty and what nature has to offer. Nestled among great Live Oaks and stately Bald Cypress trees it is very common to experience several species of wildlife. The course offers four sets of tees which promotes enjoyment for all levels of golfers. Greens are elevated and well bunkered and roll very true. Don't be fooled by the yardage... it offers a risk vs.reward type of round, but beware! You also have the option to play 18 holes of Championship golf or enjoy 9 holes on the Lagoons short course. Don't be fooled by the short course...it's called the Lagoons for a reason!
