Not a lot of beach. Fishing from pier was nice. Board walk was nice with eating pavilions along the way. Beautiful at sunset.

“Small white sandy beach in the middle of the salt marshes.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

It surprised me to see this little sandy outcropping at the end of Fort Island Trail Rd in the shadow of the Crystal River nuke plant. Surprising me even more was the delicious variety of somewhat rare shorebirds that have made this little sand spit their home. This is a man made beach, small and clean with nice new bathrooms. It is a moment in time before it is overrun with mankind.Probably this is a human attraction to the "nature coast" of Florida. I sincerely hope it stays just the way it is-- small, out of the way and unadorned.

“Great Views”

This is a beautiful little man-made beach (among the marshlands and islands of the estuary). Clean bathrooms and great views of the gulf and the islands.

“Nice”

Visit this beach every time we come back. Love to watch the dolphins and the sunset. The sunsets are beautiful. It is not a big beach but big enough to offer a nice relaxing time. Worth seeing.
