I stayed at this property during a 3 week sweep of Florida. I wanted something in the area that could be trusted to be professional, clean, quiet and most especially safe. The design of the Holiday Inn Express properties lend themselves to these qualities as all access to rooms is from the inside using an elevator. No kids running around unattended, no drunks banging on the wrong door. The staff monitors the place very nicely. If you are going to stay in Crystal River, this is the place. It is new, very nice and very reasonable. They offer a complimentary breakfast which I did not avail myself of b/c I planned to eat elsewhere. It looked nice and probably was nice. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Select a room on the 4th floor to the rear of the establishment. It is very quiet there as other guests are all below you. There is a little pond out back and if you crack your window, you will hear the sounds of birds in the area. If you select a room on the east side, the sun will pour into your room in the morning. Nice to wake up to.

If you're passing through, or headed out for a Manatee tour, this is a great choice for lodging. Many hotels in the area offer a discount if you are doing a Manatee tour, so make sure to mention that. I think the hotel is best booked by calling them direct.

The hotel was immaculate. The room was very nice. We were upgraded to two kings. The space felt roomy. The bathrooms are clean with granite facades. Everything was in perfect working order and the insulation must be quite good, because there was no noise above, below, or through the walls, and the hotel was booked solid.

Their breakfast option in the morning (included) is good, but not great. It is passable (coffee, cereal, bagel, etc) but the options such as bacon, pancakes and waffles were industrialized. I take no points away; however, because this was more or less expected. The service was great, even in the breakfast area.

Nice, new, clean, and welcoming. Excellent choice.

We stayed here overnight en route to Alabama. Having lived in the area for 11 years, we had watched this HI Express be built. As a "Priority Club" member we were treated royally upon arrival, and we were upgraded :) Quiet room, great TV, spotless room and bathroom, and nice breakfast...what more could we ask? Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room away from the elevator.

We stayed here last night & were very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were nice & clean, but the staff is what made is stand out. All the staff were so friendly & helpful. We got a goodie bag upon arriving, were given excellent dining reservations for a local seafood place & the free breakfast was great! Over all this a great value for the money, we'd definitely recommend.

I'm always nervous booking hotel rooms on line because you never know what you'll get. We were not disappointed. When you first walk into this Holiday Inn Express you get a warm welcome from the staff. The lobby was clean and well decorated. When we got to our room we were very pleased to find it was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Housekeeping personnel did a wonderful job keeping our room clean and making sure our supplies, i.e. coffee, creamer, shampoo etc. were replenished. Vicky, the lady who prepared breakfast was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Imran, the Assistant Manager at the front desk was also pleasant and helpful. We had to leave a day earlier than planned due to a snow storm heading to our home town. Imran made sure our check out and refund were done by the time we got to the front desk. Imran and Vicky are both assets to Holiday Inn Express. On your next trip to Crystal River don't hesitate to stay at this hotel, you won't be disappointed.
