This is pretty much a local hangout. It may be interesting to visit but it does not have the qualities that most country clubs have.

We had a nice stay at Wildwood. The room was large and clean, the staff at the desk friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable, television worked, and no wi-fi in the room but there was ethernet access. Nothing at all special, and nothing wrong. The generic "continental breakfast" (do they really eat that way on the continent?) was a couple of notches below what you'd find at a Holiday Inn Express (watery orange juice and limited selection of food). But for the money ($69 + tax, an Audubon Rate since we were there for the birding), it was OK. They also offered a special Winter Rate of $49, but we did not like the bed arrangement. The website advertised a restaurant on the premises, one of the main reasons we chose to stay there, but the restaurant closed at 3 (Friday and Saturday nights!), and there were no other nearby options. Fortunately, they were having an Oyster Fest on Friday, and though our manager called to tell us that only oysters were on the menu, when we went there we found their full menu available, plus their bar, so we were pleased.

It was during hurrican Debbie and I had a tree fall on my house and put a hole in my ceiling. We had to go to Wildwood for the night which had no electricity all night and we were on the 3rd floor and had to walk up and down the stairs, which was understandable but none of the 3 and 4 people behind the couter offered to escort anyone to their rooms or help them. They are trying to charge me $200.00 smoking fee when I DID NOT smoke in the room . The manager said it was resloved and no charges would be added then 5 days later they decide to add it anyway and are saying they wont take it off. #1 I DID NOT SMOKE in the room . #2 The manager said it was taken care of and then a week later changes her mind. NOT GOOD ..

Nice setting, average food. I only go here to meet people for a meeting. The food is barely average.

Really truly and honestly...the burgers are awesome along with the best french fries! But if you want chicken or anything else you cannot go wrong. Just good food and good service! Plus good cold beverages of all types. The staff is friendly and nice.
