We totally adore Cortez Kitchen! It really has the feel of the old Florida we all know and love. Nothing dated about the food and drinks. We love the Lobster Bisque. Actually, we pretty much love everything there. We go every time we are in Florida and will continue to do so. We hope Cortez never changes!

Second time we have been here. First time food was good. The second time the scallops were good but the shrimp dinners were awful!!!!! The shrimp were small, dry and over cooked! I would say frozen shrimp not fresh off the dock as advertised. Will not be back!

Neat place to eat right on the water... went for lunch and it was not very busy. Got the blacken grouper and it was not very good. Another guest got the shrimp and that was very good.

We like this venue, but somehow it keeps disappointing. The food is just average. The drinks are good, as long as the servers leave them on the table when you are dancing. The bands on our visits have been average this season.

Stopped with friend to have drinks outside, service was very good. The place is at the end of a marina with a fish market/plant right behind it. It’s a great place for seafood and easy going music. Off the beaten path and very worth going. Plan to go back as soon as I’m back in Sarasota area. Want to get more of the fresh seafood offered.
