best hush puppies I've ever had, food was very good and of average price for the area. worth the stop if you are looking for a good place to eat.

“Great smoked Mullet”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

The appetizer of smoked mullet was excellent. Good portion. The hush puppies were tasty. Everything we had was deep-fried., i.e. okra, oysters, coconut shrimp. My wife said the coconut shrimp was the best she has had. Wonderful to watch the egrets and herons on the wharfs around us.

“Enjoyed it”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

A good alternative to Starfish, although it is a different atmosphere. It is more "restaurant" like than Starfish but is in more of a parking lot location, although close to the dock. I was also eaten alive by noseeums here. Had steamed seafood bowl, didn't realize that the mussels were from elsewhere. In fact, probably only the grouper fish was from the area. The beer was cheap and there was a band playing. We enjoyed the atmosphere even though we were with our toddlers! The Oysters were pretty inexpensive (I believe from Texas we were told) a dozen for $12.

“Old Florida Dockside Bar and Restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2013

We enjoy eating outside and the t-shirt and flip flop deck suits us just fine. The deck is covered (although there is also a full sun area). The inside area is equally as casual! We were told by the waiter that the Kitchen is known for its grouper sandwich. We ordered two sandwich baskets ($13.00) and these come with fries and slaw. The fish was excellent and the servings generous enough that we could have split one basket. Please note that the restaurant is on a working fish dock.....sometimes there was a fishy smell from the docks but that just adds to the atmosphere!

“Good food weak management”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2012

They are going to automatically charge you for 18% for parties of five or more for tip on your bill when it arrives. I expect this at fancy restaurants, but this is beer and fish and chips joint. $2.85 for a diet pepsi means you paid her 51 cents for her to bring you a bring you a pepsi. Too much ! Pay cash pay what the servers actually deserve or go someplace else.
