We had seen the Don Pollo sign on the building and decided to stop in for dinner while vacationing. We were surprised to find it was actually Lima 51 but decided to try it. Our waitress was very helpful as we weren't familiar with Peruvian cuisine. My wife had the Aji de Gallina, pulled chicken in a creamy cheese and yellow pepper sauce and raved about it. I had the Arroz con Mariscos, mixed seafood and smoked fried rice and it was delicious. Since returning home from this vacation trip, I've found several recipes for the Aji de Gallina and a local source for the aji amarillo chile paste, so we can make it.
The ceviches other diners were enjoying looked spectacular!
