Description: One of the few remaining Miami locales offering traditional English afternoon tea, the Biltmore is arguably the most elegant venue, with its soaring vaulted ceiling, magnificent lobby and majestically mantled fireplace. The refreshing repast is served daily and is complemented with and elegant harp weekdays and music of an accomplished classical guitarist on the weekends. During the holiday season guests can expect themed pastries.Reservations are recommended.

“Not as a guest.”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

Biltmore is old world charm at it's best, with modern conveniences. It's reputation preceeds it, and it lives up to the hype. The pool is enormous and always clean and appealing. The lobby is beautiful in a rich, old world tradition. Having eaten there, the food is excellent.

“Ate at the 9th Hole Restaurant overlooking the golf course”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

Come to this hotel for its views. It is a gorgeous old hotel with a fabulous swimming pool definately worth a view. My late Dad always had a saying that usually the prettier the view or the place the worse the food.

The food was not bad but the service was horrible!! In fairness, it started to pour rain and the restaurant got swamped with golfers coming in but we had to ask for things multiple times and it appeared that we got forgotten for a long, long, long time!!!

“Great atmospehere”

Enjoyed a nice dinner. Some few mistakes can be seen if you look for it. But if you're laid back and want to have a good Italian dinner you might not even notice it!

“Loud, indifferent and over priced mediocre food”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Brunch could be a different experience, but our dinner was a big dissapointment.

Loud, indifferent, and mediocre food. I was embarrassed at suggesting this restaurant when my friend and I had been given a $50 gift certificate to enjoy a meal. Two glasses of wine, two appetizers and two very mediocre dinners came to $170+ including the automatic 18% gratuity that the pleasant wait staff at least had the grace to try to earn.

The receptionist at the restaurant entrance, with her 30 second hair style and lack of any eye contact clearly could care less if we had dinner or turned around and left. She must be the manager's niece or daughter as that is the only explanation I would have for having someone so poorly suited to customer service greet your guests.

She sat us in the darkest corner of the restaurant next to a table of four who were laughing and enjoying themselves so boisterously that we could only hear every three or so words of the specials description. We politely asked to move and were accommodated graciously. The noise level of the restaurant was only slightly lessened. I personally detest restaurants that have so little respect for the experience of dining that they actively, and perhaps with a sadistic bent, enjoy assaulting their patrons with the ambience of a busy buffet style chain restaurant. Beauty in a restaurant surrounding is much more than the decor.

Our dinners were an overpriced, poorly executed version of classic Italian dishes. Quantity NEVER is a substitute for poor quality. The tomatoes in one appetizer were mushy and nearly frozen under a Portobella-sized lump of tasteless mozzarella. That appetizer should never be served directly from a cold refrigerator. The half portion of lobster risotto was gluey and overly salted. My snapper entre was overly seasoned and I couldn't taste the fish. My friend ordered a seafood special she had ordered previously at other locations and was shocked when she realized the $48 price tag. She had never paid so much, not even in Paris. The waiter never mentioned the price although she admits she should have asked.

In all, it was a waste of our time and money. If you are forced to eat at this restaurant, try to eat there at off hours, outside in the courtyard, if possible, and stick with the lower cost dishes to minimize disappointment.

“Love Italian food”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

The food was excellent and service was bar-none. I love Italian food and this restaurant has it going on. Its located in the Biltmore Hotel so after a long day of shopping it was very nice to be able to come down from our room and walk a few feet to restaurant.
