“Best Hotel on Cocoa Beach Bar None!”
Reviewed January 29, 2008

This hotel is the best hotel on Cocoa Beach really! Was at another inn that was horrible but Kim gave me a very nice room at a very nice price (go online hotel website and see printable ad) for the same money. Now i have a fabulous room with a huge king bed, hbo, i can see the ocean from my bed and from both balconies and the sunset... the front desk staff was so sweet as i am handicapped and they helped me with everything. Plus there is a free breakfast here which is really good it's like
a buffet! and there is free internet use, laundry room, a little
store with ice cream, plus the pool is really heated and you get to use the jacuzzi from next door hotel, the beach walk is just outside pool area and it's like heaven! no crazy parties, or the boomboom music, relaxing, peaceful, i just can't say enough about this hotel... The Hampton Inn on Cocoa Beach gets a 5 star from me...

Stayed at the Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach for 1 night before a cruise January 2008. Booked through the Hilton family website.

Price as about $150 including tax for a large room with an ocean view & balcony. This is mid-range for the area- there are less and more expensive options, but we have had good luck with Hampton Inns previously and didn't want the cheaper hotels for fear of them being gross, and didn't want the price range of the Doubletree or Hilton. Oceanview and Balcony were both important to us, there were less expensive rooms here without a view.

Had a late check-in, room was on par with other Hampton Inns, with a slight beachy colored decor in the rooms. Room was not humid or damp smelling. Be careful when booking rooms in Cocoa Beach- Ocean View does not mean an unobstructed ocean view. We liked our view, but we did have to look sideways a bit to see more ocean. The hotel was sort of oriented at an angle.

Nice pool on site, and 150 yard path to the beach. We thought it would be right on the beach, but that did not seem to be the case for hotels in the area. If you want to be right on the beach, call the hotel to ask how far exactly they are from the beach. All of the Cocoa Beach hotels seemed very easy to find from the road.

We were up early and walked around on the beach, saw some birds including terns, sandpipers, and plovers, along with the pelicans and seagulls.

As usual, the free breakfast at Hampton Inn was a very nice spread- much heavier than a typical continental breakfast, with many options. 11 am check out was a good time.

Rooms were entered from an interior elevator, but the room doors were on an outdoor corridor. The stair entry was locked, but I did not expect an outdoor corridor.

We thought the room was quite large, and the pillows were very good and the bed was very comfortable. Very happy with our stay. This would be a comfortable room for an extended stay, as it was very spacious.

  • Liked — Clean, large room, nice balcony, easy parking
  • Disliked — Outside corridors to rooms

Stayed here for one night to meet with friends and enjoy the beach. Although this hotel was not directly on the ocean we did have a great view of the ocean and enjoyed the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. This turned out to be a blessing because the red tide smell was not discernable at this distance. You can walk to the ocean via a private path from the hotel but given the red tide smell we made it a quick walk back to the hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable and the free wireless internet access worked great. The accommodations were not deluxe and fairly barebones but it was definitely clean. The cushions on the sofa were especially hard. The bed was comfortable. The windows do not open and the only way to get fresh air is to open the door which has no screens. We kept the door propped open in the evening to let in the air and luckily this was not the buggy season.

The bathroom offers plastic cups instead of glass and given the recent reports on the cleanliness (or not) of glass cups we were happy to see the plastic.

The hotel offers free parking and lots of parking spaces and shares a restaurant with and events with the Courtyard across the parking lot. The free breakfast was served in the hotel's own dining area and was okay. The items were refreshed regularly and the area was kept clean.

The hotel is convenient to the Cocoa attractions such as Ron Jon's (hotel key offered a 15% discount on items at the store) and a short drive to the Cocoa Pier where we had dinner and drinks.

Overall a very nice stay for the money.

We stayed here the night before our cruise out of Port Canaveral. We also used their shuttle service to and from the hotel to the port and port back to hotel. They have free parking for cruisers that is included in price of room. We had a oceanview w/balcony on the eighth floor which had a great view of the beach. The room was clean and did not have any kind of odd odors. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room had high speed internet service free. The breakfast was very good and plenty of food. There was 4 of us in the room and it was not crowded. We would stay at this hotel again and would recommend.

  • Liked — The rooms where clean and odor free
  • Disliked — Can't think of anything.

Cocoa Beach was the middle leg of our "vacation of a lifetime, so far." After a somewhat disappointing Disney World trip, we needed a place to quietly regroup prior to our cruise. Hubby had saved up enough hotel credits for a 2 night stay at this Hilton family hotel.

We arrived around midnight, after finishing a full day at Magic Kingdom. The property was located approximately 1 hour from Disney World, which was convenient. The check in process was easy, and the front desk staff was friendly, despite the late hour.

Our room was located on the third floor. It featured a rather large walk out balcony, overseeing the pool. There was a microwave and refrigerator setup, which is always handy when you have children. We had two double beds, and had requested a roll away. There was plenty of room to navigate around the room, when the roll away was folded. The balcony was a big hit.

The next morning, we woke refreshed from our comfortable beds. We went downstairs to the breakfast room. It was standard fare, but it was clear that they were not going to stay open even one minute past 9:00 am. There was a "lunch lady" type of employee who stood guard, barking at you whenever you asked where the spoons or coffee cups were. Not a pleasant experience, but for a free meal, what do you expect?

The hotel description said that the property was located on Cocoa Beach, with a 125' path to the beach. We searched, but couldn't find the path. We gave up, hopped into our rental, and drove two blocks to the public pay-for-parking beach. We were a little disappointed that we had to pay for the beach, but we did have a wonderful time.

There was a laundry facility on premises, which helped a lot. The two younger boys and I stayed in the room and repacked our luggage for the cruise, while the older daughter and husband did several loads of laundry. It was a very handy feature, and we were glad to have the chance to wash clothes.

The hotel is located on the beach, and near convenient shopping. We were able to grab fast food, and replenish our sunscreen at Walgreens. There were also a couple of those cheesy tourist cheapie souvenir places within walking distance. We were just blocks from Ron Jons, which was a lot of fun.

We would stay here again, if we had the free nights, but if we were paying, there other nearby hotels that looked pretty comparable. We weren't blown away by anything, but nothing really disappointed us, either.

  • Liked — The balcony had a great view.
  • Disliked — It felt like a fancy Days Inn.

This is a really nice place. I was leary because it was a bit pricey for my budget but it was worth it. It was very clean. Pool was OK, nothing special, it was a bit warm for me. They have a nice breakfast selection for everyone - cereal, sausage, muffins, bagels, fresh fruit, juice, etc. The view was spectacular from the 7th floor. It is located centrally between 528/pier area and the restaurants near downtown Cocoa Beach. There are so many options for dinner/drinks but you have to eat at Slow and Low and Sunset Cafe, you won't regret either choice. Slow and Low has fabulous ribs and great drink prices during the week. We got an Entertainment Book online for Space Coast/Brevard County and it had a coupon for BOGO dinner or lunch up to $18 for Sunset Cafe...there is a wonderful view if you sit on the docks(last time we saw dolphins too). The pier is pretty ghetto but the view at the tiki bar at the end has a fantastic view but very pricey drinks. Parking is $5 before 4:00 (free after) during the week and they charge $1 per person to go to the end of the pier unless you buy something, then they give you a reciept to enter for free.

Arrived at the Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach at the end of a 3 week US touring holiday. Hotel is excellent for price. Clean spacious rooms with sea views from the higher floors and balconies in all rooms. We asked for this in our booking and was pleased to get this. The beach can be accessed directly from the hotel along a path and you can rent beds and umbrellas there. Beach was great with excellent surf. My 3 kids spent hours in and out of the waves. The sea is warm and was a great tonic after long drives and days at disney.
The hotel has a good pool and there are plenty of places within walking distance if you have the energy. We had 2 meals at the sunset cafe on the Banana river which sreved excellent food in a casual but lovely setting. Overall would love to come back to hotel and resort.
