“Terrific View of Banana River/Sunset At Table!!!”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

If you want a place to see the sunset request outdoor or window side seating. Just wish the food was as good as the view; don't get me wrong as the food was a touch above average but the view was special. Crab cakes & sautéed seafood platter were the winners in our group of 4 entrees. Salad & slaw were very good; soups only average. They serve hush puppies & breadsticks pre-meal that are very nice but filling. Plenty of food so you won't leave hungry. Nice selection of desserts with crème bruele & rum raisin ice cream leading the list. Would rate at 3.5 out of 5 but went with "very good" rating because of view.

“We love the outdoor deck”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

The view from the outdoor deck is wonderful! We love to watch the sunset over the river. Occasionally, when the weather is bad (raining), we have to sit indoors but we still have a great view of the river and the rain clouds. We usually check the specials when we enter as we like to try different things. Some of our favorites from the menu are the Lobster Bisque - a must!, the stuffed mushroom caps, the garlic shrimp, and the crab & spinach dip. Those are all appetizers but we love them. We don't care for modern day portions and if we order an entree, we usually split it. They also serve a basket of bread sticks and cornmeal fritters sprinkled with powdered sugar and a side of cole slaw. We can easily fill up on bisque, salad, an appetizer, fritters and cole slaw. The service is usually awesome; occasionally we get a server who is struggling to keep up with her tables. My reason for less than four stars is that the prices have gone up - which seems to be the case everywhere as the economy improves here. Last but not least, be sure to stop at the hostess station for a mint on the way out! They are the most unusual and delicious mints. And if you have kids, bring your leftover breadsticks to feed the koi.

“Average food but great view from outdoor seating”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

The food was average. We did enjoy sitting outside by the water. The kids enjoyed being able to feed the fish.

“Great shellfish, the rest questionable”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

This is a large restaurant, seating perhaps 350. Our night there may have been 30, which would suggest a diminishing reputation.

The view is excellent, including waterside tables and a long wharf.

We found the shellfish, from fresh oysters to mussels, excellent. The entrees from blackened fish to crab stuffed flounder were very questionable. The snow crab legs were clearly frozen and old. The crab cakes fair.

A real distraction eating on the outside deck was the tendencies of guests and staff throwing food into the water filled with catfish.

We would not go back.

“Much Better Than Expected”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Friend who live in Cocoa Beach took us there. I was expecting a Red Lobster kind of place. I was wrong. We were quickly seated, with a nice view of the Banana River. Too bad it was raining, we would have sat outside. We started with the Calamari. Sweet and enough for three. My wife had the crab cakes, which she thought had too much breading. Two of us had a kebob with shrimp and lobster meat. They were excellent. My friend had the Tropical Treat. Huge sea scallops wrapped in bacon. And I must not forget: the coleslaw is superb; and the corn fritters will have you asking for a second basket. The drinks are metered, so don't look for a heavy pour.
