When checking in asked about the roll away bed that I requested when making reservation and was told they haven't had any for over 3 yrs. , why wasn't I told this on phone when I asked about them, website showed they had them also, which left us in a bind with not enough beds. The bedding was dirty as if someone spilled something down the side of the bed and it had dried on. Out dated room. Also paid for ocean front and received 2nd floor facing ocean with tall grass between room and ocean, unable to see ocean very good. Would not stay here again.

Room Tip: If you pay for ocean front ask for 3rd floor and above or your view will be blocked

I read the other reviews and the rooms were fine. I like the idea that they are dog friendly. The boardwalk is near but is in need of update. An ice cream store for late night strolls would be delightful. The breakfast in the morning was atrocious. Hardboiled eggs? Bring your own pillow the pillows were lumpy!

Room Tip: You want to be above the first floor because you can't see the ocean.

Thank you so much for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated. The "hard boiled egg's were something we thought our guet's would enjoy however we have since removed them from our menu. For future referance we do have several different "late night" ice cream places:"In the event you visit the area again we would glaldy assist you witth those locations. Again; your feedback is greatly appreciated,

Best Wishes

I specifically asked for a room away from elevators and ice machines because my wife is a light sleeper. The clerk gave us our desire but failed to tell us that the neighboring bar would have very loud music until 11PM - so loud that we could not possibly sleep. We were not told by any other hotel staff that the bar next door to the hotel would have loud music either. We were unable to sleep, so I requested another room-there were none available, so I requested a refund so that I could leave to find another hotel but the manager on duty refused. After arguing with her for a few minutes she finally agreed to discount my room rate by $25. Hardly worth the inconvenience of lost sleep. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: It is on the beach, so that is nice. However, you may want to ask for a room away from the bar next...

Thank you for your feedback. Please accept our sincerest apologies regarding " the noise" from next door. Given we are a tourist area; music is something that is often provided. We sincerely apologize that this was an interruption of your sleep. The town variance is that of 11PM the music must stop. Our sincerest apologies again,

Best of luck

Can't ask for better from a la quinta. Hot free breakfast with protein, steps from the beach, no charge for our two big dogs, friendly staff, free parking, allergen-free parquet floors, a microwave/fridge/freezer in the room, nice pool, etc. Not the Hilton, but well worth the price.

This hotel is a remodeled motel style location. The outside is definitely dated, but it is close to the beach. We got the queen suite with two sofa sleepers. The room was actually two separate adjoining rooms, with the two sofa sleepers in the second room. The sofa sleepers are VERY old, when they remodeled this hotel, they should have thrown these out and bought new! The mattresses where horrible ( worse than most sofa sleepers:) ), there were no sheets anywhere in the rooms for using these beds. I had to ask the front desk to bring sheets, and they had to go searching for sheets, and then couldn't find any extra blankets. The two queen beds in the other room had old mattresses and the air conditioner is a old loud unit. If you really want to stay on the beach, this hotel works. Otherwise, stay inland, save a lot of money and drive over to the beach. Most the hotels in this Cocoa Beach area are dated and older,

If you want to be “close to the action” along Cocoa Beach, the La Quinta Oceanfront is for you. This hotel has nice, no-nonsense rooms, is located directly adjacent to the local pier, and is about as close and convenient to the beach as possible.

The main mission of this La Quinta is to accommodate budget-minded tourists who want to go the beach … and it does a good job with this task. Unlike the sprawling Best Western across the street, every room at the La Quinta has a private balcony that has either a full or partial view of the Atlantic Ocean. The balconies are not huge, but they are furnished with a couple of plastic chairs and a small table for your drinks. The beach itself and the pier are just several hundred yards away from the hotel.

If you do NOT like crowds of vacationers and the all of activity & sounds that come with them, however, you might want to look elsewhere. The portion of the beach this hotel is situated along what seems to be a relatively busy and popular stretch of sand. It's anything but serene.

Rooms are accessed by exterior doors that face the un-gated but well-lit parking lot. The walk between the parking lot and the two elevators is not too far. Inside, the rooms are generally what you’d expect from a La Quinta – well-maintained, reasonably spacious, and minimalist in décor/amenities. The rooms have wood flooring to prevent the accumulation of sand in carpets. As you might expect, room rates can really vary depending on which day of the week you’re visiting … and whether or not you choose a room with a full or partial ocean view. I got a full ocean view room on the 5th floor and, given the panoramic and entertaining view it provided, it was worth the premium in my opinion.

The La Quinta Oceanfront is in a fairly unpretentious neighborhood dominated by similar middle-class motels, time-shares condos, apartments, and tourist-oriented establishments. It’s about two blocks from the main thoroughfare that runs through Cocoa Beach.

My only complaint involves the noise and light from a next door room. The adjoining doors between my room and another room seemed unusually thin. The doors also had large gaps between the bottom of the doors and the surface of the hardwood floor. Consequently, both sound and light from the next door room could be heard and seen all too well in my room.

Room Tip: If you really want a genuinely good view of the beach and ocean, pay extra for a full oceanfront vie...
