cool place to browse but not if you have little kids. Too many fragile items in this overcrowded store (signs all over saying if you break it you bought it)...the adventure zone was a joke. They charge for adults AND kids, when clearly it is for kids only :/

Although the management encourages reviews of The Dinosaur Store Adventure Zone, we do ask that you please actually experience it before you review it. An admission does apply for both children and adults, $8 and $6 respectively. And yes, adults are less expensive than children. Just like a zoo or a movie theater, adults also experience, the animals, movies, games and educational stations, and the facility does incur expenses for each individual attending.

For visitors just wanting to experience the "museum store", there is no charge. We are a rock and fossil store and many things are naturally fragile. Each child is different, and parents know their children's limitations - personal responsibility is an important issue at our facility and these are the signs referred to in the review.

Very educational with great displays and artifacts. We spent time explaining to kids we were looking at real saber tooth tiger skulls and bones from prehistoric periods. Everyone fascinated including youngest. Grandkids also bought books and excavation projects to use on drive back home.
Books and models a big hit at their school.
We did not visit the arcade side as kids fascinated with store and displays.
