Very educational with great displays and artifacts. We spent time explaining to kids we were looking at real saber tooth tiger skulls and bones from prehistoric periods. Everyone fascinated including youngest. Grandkids also bought books and excavation projects to use on drive back home.
Books and models a big hit at their school.
We did not visit the arcade side as kids fascinated with store and displays.

This store is amazing for the breadth of content. Eventhing from kid oriented dinosuar kitch to real fossils. We speant a lot of time looking at the reproduction fossils and castings. They were as interesting as the real ones but much less costly. We'll go back there on our winter trip and certainly take the grandchildren there when they visit. Store rates a solid five, but the adventure zone is just something to keep small children accupied while older kids and adults enjoy the store.

The store is really nice and there is a lot to look at. We also took the kids to the Adventure Zone. The Adventure Zone was ok but a little lacking on games for the kids. They sold us on a package for our kids to pan for minerals for $6.00 a piece which really turned into a flop. Skip the panning and enjoy the store.

Most of the floor space is devoted to educational displays and interactive fossil 'hunts'. Live alligators and snakes. Good for age 5+. Grandson had a great time.

Just rating the store. This place had a TON of really neat artifacts. If you're into this type of history, its a great place to be. Interestingly nearly everything was for sale. I'm not sure what I'd personally do with some dinosaur bones but if you're into it, this is the place to be. We didn't go in to the 'museum' part because of the fee (we live near DC so we can see this stuff for free).
