We stayed at this property for one night on October 22/11 prior to boarding the Freedom of the Seas. The hotel has been recently renovated, the lobby is very modern and was quite busy with a lot of people milling around enjoying snacks and drinks. There is a restaurant in the lobby called the Bistro - food was pretty good, but you do not get table service instead you order at the counter and it is delivered to your table. The room was nice - beds are quite comfortable, but the air conditioner is NOISY, be warned that it is loud and if you are a light sleeper it will wake you up. I found the room to be clean and we had a balcony overlooking the pool area. We had a rate that included breakfast, and it was served in the lobby Bistro. The food was okay.....I think this Bistro is just more of a convenience than a real restaurant. There is a Walgreens across the street, and some fast food restaurants nearby. Overall a good experience and I would recommend this property. The hotel is very close to the beach, although we did not use it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor that has a view.

cyrobynToronto,

Thanks for your kind words about our hotel. I appreciate the fact that you will recommend us. Also, I will note your comment about the room AC and share it with our engineering department. I'm sorry you weren't fully informed about our Bistro, we actually do offer table service all day, and even Room Service from 4-10pm. I will make sure we do a better job of informing our guests of all we have to offer. Your input is much appreciated.

Thanks again,

This hotel meets the average expectation for a Courtyard with the added bonus of being a short walk to the beach. The lobby area is recently renovated and is very modern. The rooms are lagging behind a bit and showing age. There are updated electronics (flat screen tv and ipod doc alarm clock) but the bathroom area in my room was disappointing. The sink is outside of the toilet/shower area and there wasn’t very much vanity space and the lighting was poor. The room that the shower was in could have a Motel 6 in my opinion. Ugly, industrial type tile on the floor, a large open space without adequate bath rug, and the shower/bath itself was old and dingy. The towels that were provided were also dingy and very thin. I was at this hotel 2 years ago and sense that it is time to update the rooms a bit. It didn't seem as nice as it was last time. The bright spot of the hotel is its proximity to the beach. Just a short 5min walk through the parking lot and down a boardwalk and you are right on a wide, clean sandy beach. There is a vendor renting covered beach seats right there. The hotel also has a pool that was nice to dip in after being down by the beach.

cuffy.fla,

Thanks for staying with us in Cocoa Beach. I appreciate you kind words about our hotel, especially our recent lobby refresh. We also recently refreshed our rooms with new carpet, and all upholstered goods in the room per Marriott standards, I apologize if we did not meet your expectations. The bathroom/vanity layout is also something that was mandated by Marriott at the time we were constructed. I will pass your comments about our towels along to our housekeeping department and we will definitely rectify any deficiencies. I'm glad you enjoyed our close proximity to the beach and our mineral pool. Thanks again,

We stayed at the Courtyard Cocoa Beach from 10/5-10/12. When we arrived, we received a warm welcome and thorough orientation to the hotel, including a brief tour. The lobby of the hotel is very nice - sleek and modern, very clean. There is a business center with computers and printers, the Bistro, where you can get a snack or Starbucks, and TV/lounge area. Outside is the mineral pool and on the other side a fire pit, which is really nice to relax around at night.

We were pleasantly surprised when we found we'd been given a suite. The suite itself was very spacious - kitchen/dining area and seating area in one room, bedroom and bathroom in the other. There was a large flat-screen TV in each of the rooms, and two balconies, also one in each room. Plenty of place to spread out and relax for the duration of your stay. The room was not quite as modern as the hotel lobby, but nice and comfortable nonetheless.

The mineral pool is lovely, although it was a bit cold this time of year. The hotel is not right ON the beach but it's a very short walk through a path off the parking lot, and the beach there is really nice. I used the fitness center almost every day. It is small but adequate. I only had to wait for a treadmill once. On the last day the treadmills were both mysteriously not working, but the woman at the front desk directed me to the Hampton Inn (which shares a parking lot with the Courtyard) and I was able to use their fitness center with no problem (side note: Hampton's fitness center is not as nice as the Courtyard's).

While we were in Cocoa Beach we had three days of terrible weather - 60 mph winds and record-breaking rain, according to the local news - and we did have an issue with some water leaking in under our balcony door. However when we mentioned this at the front desk they immediately had a large industrial fan brought up to dry it out as best they could (considering it was still raining). As a result of the rain, though, the room smelled a little musty for the rest of our time there. However, I seriously doubt this would have happened in a normal rain storm, I think it was just a freak thing.

Every employee we interacted with during our eight-day stay was very pleasant and helpful. They always seemed happy to answer your question and help you out. All the employees - from front desk employees to the maintenance crew - greeted you when they saw you. Very pleasant.

Our friends who live in the area came to visit us one afternoon and they were impressed with the hotel and said they will now recommend it to their friends who visit. It was clean, spacious, close to the beach, and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again the next time we're in the area.

Thanks for your kind words about our hotel. Your are right, we had an unnamed tropical storm that caused some unexpected rain and wind that sat over our area for an extended period of time. I am glad our staff was able to respond to your concerns related to the storm. Also, thanks for noticing our mineral pool, no harsh chlorine smell or effects. We are only one of two hotels (our Hampton Inn is the other) that offers a mineral pool. I am also delighted to learn that your friends will now recommend our Courtyard to visiting guests. Thanks so much, we look forward to hosting you again.

We stayed here the weekend of 10/21/2011. Our stay was very enjoyable from beginning to end. The front desk staff got us checked in quickly and were very efficient in resolving the problem with our room assignment/view which had been confirmed via telephone reservation. The reception area of this hotel is very clean and many amenities are available there; from computers, to free coffee, to a large screen television with news and weather, to a very attractive bar and lounge area. The pool area is also nice, and has an outdoor tiki bar, contributing to the vacation feel of this hotel.

We ended up with a seventh floor room (#709) which, while being a little smaller due to being beside the elevator, had a stunning view of the ocean that was amazing given the price we paid for the room.

The location was very convenient and was within easy walking distance to several attractions, bars and restaurants (such as Ron Jon Surf Shop, Sandbar, and many others)

The only complaint I have is that the beds are EXTREMELY hard and if that is not your preference, then sleeping on them will be quite difficult.

Overall, a wonderful experience and absolutely perfect weather to go along with it....highly recommended...

Room Tip: Higher floors on ocean side = best experience

The staff did a great job getting me checked-in; but the room was only average. The fitness center was below average.... featuring poorly maintained equipment. I liked the free wireless access; but only give it three stars. Will try a different property when returning to Cocoa Beach.

I and my fiancé stayed here in sept 2011 for 5 nights after visiting Orlando Disney. When we arrived my first thought was stunning reception very polite ladies and full of good service and advise. Reception is full of things to use, pc, boarding pass printer, local things on a touch screen. Our rooms wow wow wow luxury with loads of room the beds were big enough for two to sleep in with still loads of room left :-) view fantastic faced the pool and the river/lake/canal banana river i think it was!! rooms clean deposit boxes down at reception no problems. Beach on the door step 2 min walk. Drinks a little pricey but then your staying in a lovely hotel with private booths with little tv's to watch. Pool area always clean with a hot tub and a bar which is open on a weekend and the lady does a great job keeping everyone topped up with drinks. through the week we had the pool almost to ourselves every day and the weekend it got very busy!! would stay again for sure. If on a holiday you need to visit the port it is amazing at day and night along with visiting paradise cove :-)

Room Tip: Ocean/pool view are the best otherwise your facing the street and car parking areas. higher floors b...
