“Vacation”

It was really a perfect ending to a perfect day. This is a beautiful restaurant on the intercostal waterway. You'll see fish, birds and dolphins. The lady that greeted us at the door was fantastic. Made us feel and home. Seated us by the water and came down and talked to us several times. The food was good, maybe a little expensive. Great draft beer special and the live music was fabulous.

“AWFUL service”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

We walked in, were seated immediately by a friendly hostess ... and then totally IGNORED for 15 - 20 minutes. It was not a busy night, and there were a LOT of waitstaff working ... but no one asked us to order drinks or brought water ... or even TALKED to us.

We got up and walked out ... and no one even noticed.

There are lots of GOOD restaurants in the Cocoa Beach area ... we won't give Sunset another chance.

“Beautiful View”
Reviewed March 28, 2014

Actually visited here twice this year - once for dinner right after getting into town and again for lunch on our way out of town. Casual dining al fresco at it's best. There's usually a wait to be seated for dinner, especially if you come near sunset, but it's so beautiful you just grab a drink from the bar and enjoy the wait on the pier. The cost is decent as the food is good and the serving portions are large. The view is unbeatable. You are literally dining on the water's edge with boats docking at the pier, the fish swimming in the water and the occasional dolphin in the distance. The cost of dinner for our family of 4 was approximately $150 before tip, which included several mixed drinks between me and my husband, appetizers and dessert, as well as both kids ordering from the adult menu. My husband got the sampler and loved every last bite. My 13-year old got the shrimp linguine which was not only delicious, it was enormous and the left overs made another entire meal the next day. My 10-year old and I each ordered the steak and we too enjoyed our meals! Our Service was very good. The dinner crowd was thick but the staff was friendly and we never had trouble getting anything we needed. Only complaint was we came in on karaoke night and the singers were as loud as they were bad. Lunch on the way out was less crowded and about $100, including tip - - but 3 ordered the same meals they had the first night and 1 just ordered a burger. Also, since we were driving home to Chicago, we didn't order any alcoholic beverages which cut back on the bill a bit. BOTTOM LINE: Good Service, Great Food and Outstanding View. A definite must visit, even if only for a few drinks to enjoy the scenery.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed March 23, 2014 via mobile

Ate dinner at this restaurant while visiting last year and it was good. This trip, not so much. Fried shrimp was not fresh. Couldn't tell if it had been frozen or just old. Baked potato was old, dried out and almost warm. Service was slow also, for no busier than they were on a Thursday night. The best thing about the meal was the music. The guy can sing!! He gets 4 1/2 stars.

“Sunset Waterfront Grill & Boat”
Reviewed March 23, 2014

Took long time before waitress came to us for service. She slow, and awful, had to ask for sugar several times. Food was cold and terrible. Price was on the high side. It is a tourists trap. Thumbs down.
