Not very exciting for kids to go to the top of the tower to see nothing but housing developments. It is certainly not worth traveling out of your way to see.

“Old time Florida”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

This tower doesn't have the impact it did back in the 50's because of the lack of citrus trees. The citrus industry in Florida has taken a hit from freezes and disease. There are no longer the breath taking views of miles and miles of groves. Now there are miles and miles of developement.

“The Best View of Clermont and Surrounding Area”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

Unfortunately, I have no personal photos, but this is one tower you won't want to miss. Just about an hour from the hub of Orlando and Disney attractions, on Route 27 sits a tall tower. Just about everything in Florida can be enjoyed for a "fee", and this is no exception. But $19.99 (December 2012) will get you to the top. Here you will see the landscape of lakes, hills and valleys, and a layout of the roads that can take you just about anywhere you want to go.

It's about 300 feet tall and overlooks Lake county. The small but neatly arranged gift shop is perfect for that one little momento of your trip. Enjoy the view and the nearby restaurants for a day away from the hustle and bustle of Florida's main attractions.

“Pricey But Fun”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

Great views over Florida. You can see for miles. Orlando can be seen in the distance. Gifts shops downstairs is maybe a slight letdown but we didn't go there for the gifts.

I probably won't be going back unless it is still there in 40 years time and I want to see how the local area has further changed.
