We have weathered the recent upgrades to this resort and are now enjoying the results to date. The new electric posts are sound and in the sites we have stayed in nicely placed. Some sites do not have a table so if you need one be sure and check. Staff continues to be professional pleasant and very helpful. We stayed in the 'B' section.
Never received a picnic table. Asked for one the first day we arrived and was told someone would bring one to our site. The table never came. We love the RV park and will visit again. We just wanted to have a table to sit and eat outside.
This TT resort is a great place to stay. Many activities, well-maintained facilities and close to Walt Disney World. The Getaway Cabin was clean and comfortable. The only amenities that would have made the cabin better would be a washer/dryer and dishwasher.
Thousand Trails Orlando is a great deal if you want to get out of the cold northern winter. There are lots of amenities...2 pools, hot tub, tennis and pickleboard courts. Many of the campsites are large and spacious. There have been many electrical upgrades... Large sections of the park now have 50 amp power.
I do have 2 recommendations.. An outdoor light on the end of the units would be very helpful, especially for guests arriving after dark as we did. Sorry, it was a 12 hour drive. Also, the mattresses in the loft are very uncomfortable. Thank you.,
The new cabin that just went in was nice and I would like to stay there soon. The rug in the bathroom and kitchen are unnecessary. The one in the kitchen kept getting under our feet during cooking and the bathroom throw rug was worn out. There was no gas in the outside grill.
