Lunch today. This place is a great addition to Clermont. Basically sandwiches and their own kettle fries. Not officially open yet but the place was packed. The menu is very unique. It must have two dozen craft beers on draft and a large wine list. Staff is still learning but they are really personable and outgoing. The interior is newly built with dark woods and stainless steel fixtures. There is an area for outdoor dining. Lots of parking and it needs it. The kids menu is not just the same old chicken fingers and mac and cheese.

Finally Clermont gets another restaurant that isn't a chain! Visited for the first time tonight. Even though only open a few days we had great service! The place looks great. It was raining tonight so I look forward to going back and sitting on the patio! I had the grilled chicken dish with polenta! Yummy! Chicken was very moist. Ended the meal with chocolate bread pudding! Also tasty! Prices range between $14-$20 for entrees. Fair price for the meal. I will be going back. Would love to try a few lunch options!

A group of us tried this new restaurant on their first Sunday night open. The service was great, very friendly and everyone seemed to be happy to be working there. Thanks Nicky for being so pleasant. We even tested her by asking for one of the burgers well done, and she said of course, the chef would prepare to order, but that well done would be dry (she knows the menu and food). One of our group was pushy enough to ask that the chef/owner come out in the middle of a busy dinner service on their second night open and he actually came out and spoke to us. That was totally unexpected and much appreciated.
Now to the food, of course we had to try the 420 and Crooked Spoon burgers, both were really tasty, juicy, fresh and very interesting cheeses and sauces, served with homemade chips for $12.00. It was so good that we tried to go back Monday, but unfortunately they were closed. We also had the duck confit salad which was excellent and the ceviche, which was very fresh and also had great flavor. We tried 3 different desserts all were good, if they have it when you go try the gingerbread ice-cream and the lemon curd cake.
I especially liked that the kids menu had the old standards but with a twist (coconut chicken fingers, grilled peanut butter and jelly)
There is a large bar area, lots of TVs and outside seating. I imagine that during football season the bar area will be hopping.
The portions are small by some standards, but you won't be hungry.
Some may say the prices are high, but you are getting quality, fresh food with great service. Come on - when was the last time you could get lobster pot pie or properly cooked duck in Clermont!!!
We need more independent restaurants and the chef and staff of the Crooked Spoon really love what they do. Support them!
