We reserved 2 -3 BR units this past week and had a wonderful family vacation with 2 of our children, their spouses and 4 grandchildren ages 3-5 years old while visiting Disney. We were in building #405 directly across from the activity center with 2 adjoining rooms on the 3rd floor, and were greeted at the gate by our personal concierge (a new program); Henry, who took us directly to our units, gave us an update on all amenities, brochures on Disney, along with all resort schedule, etc. What a wonderful way to check in and avoid the hassle of high pressure sales people after traveling. Henry did invite us to a breakfast for more info but he was not trying to sell timeshare, only to make our visit more enjoyable. He did say we could do a timeshare presentation if we wanted, but he was not in sales. We received no calls about presentations during the week,(unplugged the room phones, had cell phones). We truly enjoyed our 2nd visit to this resort; 1st was 15 years ago and what a difference in size, buildings, amenities, etc.
The amenities are excellent, many pools ( nearly 1 for each building) & lots of daily activities. Our grandchildren especially enjoyed the Kid's waterpark and the Build A Buddy activity at the Activity Center where they built their own stuffed animal for only $10.00.
The rooms wee exceptionally clean, well stocked, and we had everything in supplies needed for the week.
If possible, be sure to attend The Dueling Pianos on Thursday night At The Big Kahuna for some real enjoyable entertainment. The food is good and reasonably priced.

Disclaimer that this review is tainted due to the situation, and my review reflects managements treatment of the situation. We RCI exchanged into this resort for a last week before school started. The check in was nice enough, room was ok as far as time shares go. Furniture was on the cheaper side, kitchen was on the cheaper side, floors and counters just felt dirty. When we arrived back from Disney the first night, we were not let back in the condo, yes our condo was on the edge of the sink hole. Here's the nightmare, management were more concerned about their building then the people staying there. Horrible communications, promises made but not kept, and management that talked more to the media then to people who lost everything. By the way, they did not cover lost things, they are making us file against our own home owners insurance. Needs to be a management change before I would ever consider staying here again.

Very disappointed with this resort. Our condo was very clean and neat, but was outdated and in need of repair. The condo pictures on the website are very misleading--those are the units they want you to buy a timeshare for--not the actual rental units. We booked this thru Armed Forces Vacation Club, so I will also inform them of the misleading pictures. The unit was very small, and the wireless internet was out for four days. When I spoke to the front desk about it, they could have cared less. Told me I needed to call tech support--a guest shouldn't have to call to fix problems; that is what the front desk should do! Additionally, we decided to participate in the timeshare presentation because of the free gifts: full, hot breakfast and $100 gift card that can be used anywhere for anything (even gas and restaurants). Arrived for the presentation, but the full hot breakfast turned out to be nothing but some eggs, potatoes, and sausage links--all terrible. Then there was some confusion about our $100 gift card--they thought we would only get $50. Fortunately, at check-in, $100 was written down on our invitation, so they did honor that. However, when we picked up the gift card, we were told that it could only be used at retail stores (no gas or restaurants). At that point, it didn't matter, we were just glad the whole fiasco was over. We will not be purchasing any property. On a better note, I will say that the property and grounds are very beautiful and there are a great deal of amenities. Just be aware that if you are not a property owner, you may not receive the fancy rooms that are shown on the website, and your concerns may not be considered important.

This resort is a beautiful resort 10 minutes from all the Disney Parks. You don't even have to leave the resort to enjoy yourself. 5 beautiful pools, a lake, free shuttles to the parks and big lock out suites. We had a two bedroom unit with another one bedroom lock out. We had plenty of room for 8 adults. We had our sons, there friends and girl friends with us. Plenty of room, and enough things to do, to keep them busy. They are from the age of 19-22 years of age. The week before we checked in. The first buildings had a sink hole, and one big building fell into the sink hole.We got very scared about this awful event. The resort was very good about, explaining the problem and mad sure no one could get close to the site. It is such a big resort, that it didn't make a difference that they closed three of the buildings. Great place to stay and relax.

Room Tip: We had building 403, directly across from the lobby, tennis courts, lake, and two pools. We had a gr...

Our Stay was from 8/3/13-8/8/13. Check in was painless compared to many other resorts I've been to. We were assigned to building 408 on the 3rd floor overlooking one of the smaller pools and a small lake. We were in a 2 bedroom 2 bath and it was very spacious and very comfortable. The pool wasn't the biggest but it was never over crowded due to the fact that there were pools everywhere at this resort. The buildings were clean and well kept, and the entire property was beautifully landscaped. Fortunately, we checked out 3 days prior to the sinkhole ordeal, and it doesn't suprise me that everyone got out of the buildings safely due to the security guard warning everyone to get out because all of the staff members that I encountered were nothing but thoughtful, courteous and helpful. The main clubhouse was a short 3 minute walk from our unit and there was an abundance of activities for both parents and children. The main pool had a great bar and there was another bar/restaurant grill a short walk away from there. There was a beautiful large lake with a great sandy beach area and a very nice boardwalk and large gazebo. There were pontoon boats, large and small, jet skis, and small "speedboats" which traveled about 15 mph (great fun for the kids that don't have a drivers license.) We rented a small pontoon for my wife and I, 1 jet ski for my son and the jet boat for my daughter and neice, between that and fishing, they loved it. We fished the lake several times and caught a minimum of 3 nice sized bass each time, catch and release of course. There is a free shuttle to and from all Disney parks that leave twice a day at 8 and 10 am (be on time), the Disney grounds are only a few minutes away, it's a full sized city bus style shuttle with Disney graphics all over but be prepared because it stops at EVERY Disney park going and coming back at the end of the day. The bus picks up and drops off on the main road to the resort, just about 200 feet to the left of the main clubhouse. There are literally hundreds of restaurants within 5 miles in either direction of highway 192, (our new favorite is Boston Lobster Feast Kissimmee location) also several grocery stores and a Wal Mart very nearby. I plan on coming back to this resort each time I return to Orlando, which will be soon.

Room Tip: Ask for an upstairs room, otherwise you will hear children running above you most of the night.

Time share sales people a bit annoying. Other than that, great location, close to all Disney Parks. Restaurants galore on hwy 192... although not in resort;only one for salads and drinks.Highly Recommend Little Italy Restaurant, Boston Lobster feast and Twistee Treats a large ice cream cone site.
