“So much to see”

Don't let the size of the building stop you from going here. They have a gift shop in the front of the building with all kinds of presidential stuff. The self guided tour includes a 70-minute video of the inception and reconstruction of the US whitehouse. There is an amazing whitehouse replica inside the museum detailing everything right down to the books on the shelves. The back of the piece is open to show in detail the layout of the entire structure including furnature. There are diaramas of the oval office of many presidents showing how they each had it decorated. You can even sit behind the desk of the president for a photo op. Bring your camera!

“Amazing Miniature White House”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2013

The Mt. Rushmore replica in the front is need of some repair, but don't let that deter you from going inside. The miniature White House is more than worth the cost of admission. The detail is extraordinary. You could spend hours looking at each room and still find things that you missed the first time. Even the paintings have been recreated in miniature to look exactly like the originals. Amazing. The Oval of Offices of at least the last ten presidents have also been painstakingly recreated. The docent was very helpful and knowledgeable. The museum also contains a nice collection of clothing of many Presidents and First Ladies displayed on replicas of each person. It was very interesting to see how small most of the people were. There is also a 90 minute video on the White House in a small theater. It's not Disney but the price also reflects that. If you are in the area, you really shouldn't miss this little gem.

“White House Replica”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2012

We stopped off here after visiting Clermont Tower.

The pricing was reasonable and we decided on going with the sefl tour instead of the guided tour. There are several video rooms to watch the History of America and also a very detailed scale model of the White House which, having been to the real White House, I can tell you it is very good.

There is a rather well stocked gift shop if you aren't interested in American History. The gift shops anything from statues of Presidents to full size American Flags.

Thank you for an information filled visit.

“Great Little Museum-A sleeper”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2012

This is an amazing place filled with presidential memorabilia. In addition John Zweifel's 1/12 scale miniature White House is a masterpiece of design. This little museum is tucked away on Rte 27, but is definitely worth a visit. Bring the kids.
