Lynn and I celebrated her birthday with another couple at Bascom's. The restaurant gets 100% in every category from us. We both had the 26 ounce Bone In Ribeye Steak. We ordered mid rare. It was cooked perfectly. We preceded the meal with an escargot appetizer and a bottle of Perry Cabernet. The escargot was cooked in a puff pastry, not large, but sufficient for the 4 of u...and delicious. We had a reservation, but we were really surprised and impressed when they seated us in a very nice private alcove. I think that there is only one room like this in the restaurant so you might wish to request it. The restaurant is pricey. Our Ribeye was $35+.however, this is one of those restaurants where you won't be disappointed that you spent the big bucksl. Our server George was gracious and efficient and was constantly at our beck and call. We can't wait fro another special event to return to Bascom's Chop House.
