Our beach view room came with 2 double beds a small desk & chair. There was a daily charge for their WIFI, which did not work, and dropped your connection every 2 minutes. I also had several connectivity problems with my lab top. This was a HUGE problem for my boyfriend who was there on business and works on very large spreadsheets which he would loose his data constantly. He complained daily but no improved result. Finally after 4 days someone slipped a note under the door from the front office manager which apologized for this problem, and would waive our resort fee. THIS DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE! Also unprofessional slipping note under door. Should have been a phone call or personal visit as this was a VERY HUGE issue. He expects to travel to the Tampa area frequently and will NOT stay here again.

There was one comfortable looking chair in our room which was unfortunately right next to the air conditioning blower so it was freezing and uncomfortable. There was no other possible spot to move it to. The room was clean and included a small deck with 2 chairs. Fabulous sunsets from that deck. The hotel has a nice pool which has so much foliage around it there is absolutely no air flow. Very hot. So you had to go to the beach and pay $31 a day for one lounge with cushion and umbrella. They do have some great beach area for children, with pails & shovels, plus a large chess board to play outside. They have a $20 pp fee for the breakfast buffet, which was way too much food for me, so I opted for the $12.50 omelet, coffee is $4. The omelet was excellent, but a humongous portion, enough for 2 people. I took more than half to go and ate the rest for lunch. Not bad, but I didn't eat breakfast there again. Too expensive and way too much food.

This review was long due since we were here last august as part of our road trip.I booked this room with points and being a hilton gold memberi got free breakfast and wi-fi.I enjoyed the beach but the pools were a bit to hot for my liking.I also like the area parking is free but you will have to get lucky and find one without going in circles. The breakfast was decent and the room was nice. All in all i will return again.

The rooms are nice and very up to date. Rooms face either the coast or harbor; I don't think any of the rooms have a horrible view. Customer service was outstanding. The restaurant was good although a bit pricey, of course. It is right on the beach. There are several restaurants (to include Subway and Dunkin Donuts) within walking distance. The onsite gym is a bit small but sufficient, and you have free access to a larger gym two blocks away.

This is a resort experience right on the beach. Since it is a "resort" experience that is not all-inclusive, watch for the daily "resort" fee and MAKE SURE TO ASK for your food credit coupons, etc. right at check-in. (They give you a small piece of paper explaining that the resort fee entitles you to free internet, off-site gym, a daily $10 dinner credit, etc. We did not discover until the last night that you had to ask for the food credit coupons; we thought the small piece of paper was the daily $10 dinner credit. if our kind server had not gone up to management and gotten our food credit coupons, we would have missed out on $30 worth of food coupons. Our meal was then "free" that night.)

Hilton management: Don't slack on the deep cleaning here; it will catch up with you within a couple of years. Our beds' base boards needed dusted and wiped down. I noticed on our last night there that the restaurant had a lot of debris on the floor (bread crusts, needed sweeping).

Room Tip: Reserve a coast-facing room and request a room away from the elevators.

We just returned from a visit to Clearwater Beach Florida. We stayed at the Hilton and could not have been more pleased with our stay. The hotel is very clean, and the staff goes out of its way to make sure you are pleased. The location is perfect, you are right on the beach, there are two swimming pools and outside food and bars. You can walk everywhere from this hotel; shopping, restaurants and Pier 60 is outside your door. We ate breakfast daily in the hotel and it was a delicious buffet, far superior to the typical Hilton breakfast. We also ate a light dinner there one night, also delicious and fresh! As you face the beach, make sure to book the left side of the hotel. Our room overlooked the beach, but also the air conditioners and roof. Upon checking out and moving on to another hotel we realized we left a computer cord in the room. I called the Hilton, they tracked down my cord, and it was waiting for us when we returned home to Pennsylvania! That is great service!!

Room Tip: Choose a room on the South side when choosing a room, avoid the air conditioner units on the North side.

Hotel staff was friendly, responsive. Rooms very basic. Housekeeping swarm the floor, quick. Our door didn't close on its own and housekeeping routinely left our room unsecure all day. A report to management resulted in a prompt followup from maintenance.
