My husband and I, along with our 2 children, visited Cesare's in April 2009. The atmosphere was very inviting and our waiter was positively charming with a wonderful accent. We both ordered the enormous slab of lasagna and it was honestly the best I have ever eaten. Melt in your mouth perfection! I could not finish it all but I would most certainly recommend this restaurant for a lovely dinner experience. The owner visited our table and created some dishes for our children that were not on the menu. I tried both of their dishes - a slightly altered version of fettucine alfredo and a hand-tossed pizza - and both were excellent. Overall a bit pricey for pasta, and the bruschetta (2 slices) were hardly worth the $8 price tag. Definitley a nice change from the so-called Italian restaurants along the strip. Beautiful view of the harbor from inside and on the patio.

The menu had all the typical Italian specialties and it wasn't hard to select items we thought we'd like. There were four of us and none was very pleased with either the food or the lackluster service (the waiter was almost brusk). The so called linguine in pesto was commercial linguine in a gluey Alfredo sauce with specks of green, not the expected mixture of crushed basil, fresh parmesan, and pine nuts one expects in a pesto. The fetucine Bolongnese our friends ordered had a thin rather than the expected rich meat sauce and the fetucine tasted anything but homemade as noted on the menu. Our veal marsala had good flavor, tender veal, and was a generous portion. Our friends had the Veal Frank Sinatra that was rolled, stuffed, and appeared fried. It was dried out and not particularly good. Every so often the owner, Cesare, would burst into O Solo Mio which was OK the first couple of times but soon became tiresome.

If you want good Italian home cooking, try Al and Stellas in Indian Rocks, a short drive away.

What a treat to visit Cesare's On the Beach. My group was skeptical because it was in a stripmall, but don't let that stop you! From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were the only table they had to serve- the attention was that great. Cesar himself was delightful, always making sure everything was perfect.
Fresh pasta is made at the restaurant and that was obvious. I had the grouper, a local favorite, and it melted in my mouth. My son had a pasta trio that disappeared quickly, and my friend ordered his favorite, Saltimboca, and said it was the best he's ever had.
My only regret is that Cesar and his crew live too far away! One of the best dining experiences ever.

We went to Cesare's for a family dinner. This is not a cheap, fast meal. This is greet me at the door , white glove service. We had soup to nuts, wine and dessert and couldn't of been happier. The pasta is homemade as are the desserts. It is not cheap by any means but if you are looking for an excellant meal with the best italian this is the place. My 7 year old had the escargot and the pasta with clam sauce and asked repeatedly when we could go back so he could have " the same meal". We had the mannicotti " to die for!" the veal , actually we had it all and couoldn't wait to go back! This is our favorite place in Clearwater beach. Take your honey out for a romantic meal, you will not be disappointed!
