The food and cold salad platter they serve is always excellent. The wait staff appeared to be waitresses from a pub and this was disturbing. Their manners were less than expected. This was the first disappointing experience with wait staff and I hope it won't be repeated.

We visited the Beachcomber, Clearwater Beach, FL on our vacation. The atmosphere was very nice. I want to thank Mike the Bartender for making me two awesome Special Banana Daiquiries ever. The waitress went out of her way to make sure I got what I wanted. The food was delicious. My husband got prime rib. We were very happy with this restaurant. The price of the food was a little pricey, but what we received was well worth it. We figured that it was our vacation and a little splurging was okay. We will definitely recommend this restaurant and I'm sure we will go again if we go back to Clearwater Beach next year.

We had reservations for Saturday evening at 7:30 pm. We arrived on time and told to have a seat at the bar as they weren't quite ready. After 45 minutes we were finally seated only to be left feeling invisible. It took a while for anyone to acknowledge us or the table next to us. We finally got a waitress to take our order but I felt her work station was in another area as she didn't seem to have any other tables around us. The table next to us had a different server but the same problems. Once we ordered, the food service was very slow. The couple next to us were seated after us and had dinner and paid bill before we were served dinner. We wonder if they are having problems hiring help familiar with fine dining. It definitely wasn't worth the money. By the way, we've been coming here once or twice a year since 1975.

Our party of three arrived at 9.15pm on a Thursday evening and were immediately seated, there were only two other tables of two occupied in our section.

After five minutes or so we were brought menus and asked if we wanted drinks, two cocktails and a coffee ordered. Drinks arrived some ten minutes later, cocktails good, coffee cold, after five minutes of trying to attract attention we finally saw a young man and said the coffee was cold, off he went to deal with it, ten minutes later we asked a young woman where the coffee was, off she went to deal with it, ten minutes later we asked our waitress who's said she had not been told about the coffee and off she went to deal with it, ten minutes later the coffee arrived, you've guessed it .... cold! Explained this to our waitress and off she went to make a fresh pot of coffee .... probably a total of a forty minute wait for a hot coffee!

Food orders were slow with a twenty minute wait for appetisers and a further twenty minutes once the appetisers had been removed.

Food was good but not exceptional and was on the expensive side.

We were in the restaurant for two hours and out of that time we probably ate for a maximum of twenty to thirty minutes the rest of the time we were simply waiting for service!

Not sure how they cope when it's peak dining as half way through we were the only people in our section.

This was a nice place for dinner. Don't let them seat you by the door leading to the patio. Way to much traffic and windy.
